I had absolute no idea that was even possible. I literally just watched this video then went into the kitchen to try it myself. (insert emoji of person with their brain exploding). Neat!!
The WIZARDRESS OF INSTANT POT! This was simply brilliant, and something I struggled with until my 8 Qt IP normal pressure cooking lid bit the dust :(. I should have thought of this myself LOL!!! I have a question. My unit worked fine for about 1 month then it would release steam as it was coming to pressure, the little pin would pop up and while it went thru the "cook" cycle it had steam escaping the whole time from that weight that sits on the knob. I examined it and it appears there's a tab that when you engage the pressure switch by turning counter clockwise, it doesn't all the heavy weight to seat properly and it stays tilted a small amount, just enough to allow a small but steady stream of steam to escape. Have you run into this? They tested it with me several times even replaced the weight for me and nothing fixed it, of course because the tab wasn't seating correctly. SO what should I do to get that to settle into position correctly OR should I just clip it off and use tongs to tip the weight to release the steam? It's a very large door stop right now that also allows me to do sous vide for larger sized items and to use that air fryer lid that is great for upper body work out LOL!!
Thanks you! Oh that sounds like a very weird problem and I've not come across it from anyone else here either. Did Instant Pot not offer to replace your lid? It sounds like a problem with the internal steam mechanism maybe? To be honest, I wouldn't mess about too much with that bit as all the safety stuff for high pressure could be disrupted by the same fault. I'd be tempted to take a video of what happens and send it up to Instant Pot if you haven't already so it cant be minimised. Their customer service can be a bit hit and miss in my experience but that sounds like it's not fit fur purpose at all. Good luck with it - hope you get a replacement and , in the meantime, keep lifting that air fryer lid 💪 🤣
Hi there, I really like it. I miss the ease of shaking the basket and tipping out with the Vortex but other than that the Versazone is much more versatile as I can cook full size meals in it, shepherds pies, lasagnas etc- its more of an oven replacement and a very good one. Being able to heat the two drawers separately and sync the timing is also brilliant. Like most gadgets, it sort of depends what you're using it for and how you cook. If you have any other questions give me a shout, I'll review it eventually but just moved house so it's in storage along with the rest of our possessions (except my instant pot pro !). Have a lovely day!
@@CookingandCalm I'm so happy with the versitality of the Versazone. I use that at the instant pot duo crisp which gives me even more flexibility if I want to steam / pressure cook veg at the same time. How are you settling in your new home? Do you have a garden to continue to raise veg?
My Crisp is in storage right now 😕but in my normal IP pro , the serial is on a white label next to the bigger silver one at the lower end of the main outer unit near where power cable goes in. I can’t see it embossed anywhere on mine so I better take note myself
I didnt realize that was a lid or protective cover . It said to use it as a hot pad for when removing the air lid. I solved the whole thing by giving away my DuoCrisp and getting the Ninja Speedi- only 1 attached lid, EIGHT POUNDS LIGHTER, and does everything and MORE than the instapot. I use it for everything!
I tried putting the cover onto the lid so many times in different ways until I gave up thinking it wasn’t possible. You’ve changed my life!!
Glad I could help!

🤣 Now put that brain back in your head and get cooking
Tried this so many times over the course of three days and thought I was sent a defective cooling pad. This worked! Thank you so much.
Glad it helped Carol
Thank you so much. My mom and I were stuck for 30 minutes trying to figure this out 😅😅
You are welcome! Could do with a better design for sure!
Tried for an hour… your video sorted it in a minute thank you!!!
Hi there 👋Glad it helped!
I have a bit of a fight with the lid to duo crisp air fryer lid.. this will help.😊
thank you
Why on earth didn’t they put a little arrow…unbelievable. Thank you!
totally agree! you're welcome
Great tip. That cover is such a pain!
It really is!
Not every angel has wings or a halo. Thank you, ma'am!
You’re welcome 😊

How are you getting on with your new versazone?

Wow...
❤
I did that. Impossible otherwise
totally. I've spent too many hours trying to line that up
All I need to do now is find the serial number

glad to hear you're loving the speedi
