I know Janelle and Lucas did not grow up watching all of these movies but please just give respect to the animation. This is the era where people enjoy watching this animation. I just hate how they criticize so much but because of these animations right now are getting improvements. You gotta start somewhere.
It’s not so much the fact that they don’t know these movies that makes me mad, it’s the disrespect they are showing towards the animation that gets me mad! People worked hard to draw those films, hand drawn animation and cell animation was tough compared to now with computer drawn animation, and a lot of the animation on these movies still hold up.
I understand not liking something or having it appeal to you, but Janelle and Lucas play off each other in all the wrong ways. It's fine if they don't like it, but they don't have to make it sound like something is trash when they don't even know the story of the movie. Kept trying to skip through all their parts together

As always, Jaxon and Anthony are so funny together by just being competitive. Jayka and Danny have good chemistry, too. One of the reactors though was too snobbish against these classics. Wait till you become older and realize that some shows this decade would be considered cringe in the future, too.
To be honest I appreciate Jaxon so much. He is the most respectful and knowledgeable of these kids. As a 99-er, I grew up to appreciate most of these movies and how much hard work was put into drawing almost each instant of them. The others, especially Lucas, Janelle and Danny to some extent,were very disrespectful. I feel like they are so entitled to have modern high technology that cannot appreciate the beauty in simpler handmade stuff. Also, I feel like these generations will lack so many abilities because of it.

Balto is a legend. His statue in Central Park proves it. He raced the entire length of the last two stops on the modern ididorod without help to get medication for a pandemic that hit Alaska. He ran in a blizzard for 8 hours without rest just to give kids children a chance to survive. A true legend.
It was actually a dog named Togo who brought the medicine to the children and endured all the hard weather. Balto just finished the run. There a movie about Togo on Disney+ that talks about it.
Balto only became a legend because he got there first with the medicine. But TOGO ran the furthest and endured the most troubling trip to the village, all while being like... 12 years old?! I can't recall his age, but he was an old dog who ran the longest route and carried his team to the very end! He deserves way more credit imo
I'm not going to bash these kids because they're kids, but... I'd LOVE to see them react to this video like 5-10 years down the line to see and ruminate how rude and awful some of them were being.

I’ve pretty much seen all of these movies growing up, but the movies that had a large impact on my childhood were Iron Giant, Balto, Hunchback of Norte Dame, Anastasia, Prince of Egypt, and Quest from Camelot. However, when the first two teens saw the trailer of Iron Giant and were disgusted, I had to restrain myself from yelling at my phone, lol. And when Jaxon laughed at the other guy for feeling bad at realizing Garret was blind, I repeated the moment 6x to hear his laugh, lol. Jaxon’s laugh is one of the most infectious from React.

It's sad, but sadly it still happened in the 90s. Any "Animated Princess movie" got quickly compared to the Disney movies of that era, which is unfair, but it always happened. I was a teen during that decade and I remember Anya getting compared to the likes of Belle, Ariel, and Jasmine. People called movies like Anastasia "Disney Copycats". I was never part of that group and even defended it.
As a millennial that grew up in the 90s watching a lot of these movies, I'm not surprised by some of their reactions. Gen z grew up when CGI in movies began to take over, it's what they know and are used to. I'm not going to knock CGI, some of the best animated films are, but it's overdone nowadays. I miss the days when there was more variety in animation (now you have to look outside the U.S. for it). I remember when you could actually tell Disney and Pixar films apart, now half the time I can't tell the difference. In the 90's and early 2000's, you might get a 2D animated film from Disney or Don Bluth, while Pixar and Dreamworks were beginning to churn out 3D animation (which was still new at the time). You would occasionally even get stop motion animation like Nightmare Before Christmas or Wallace and Gromit. While good animated films still come out every so often, most of them look a bit sterile to me now. There's something special about animated films that are hand drawn, or stop motion created with handmade puppets. There's just so much more character and artistry to them.
As a 90s kid myself, that's cap. I'll take 80s and 90s music. The movies are a tie. But TV shows are so much better in the 2000s. And yes I remember the nickelodeon lineup from the 90s

How can they talk so bad about old animation? I know they're used to the one we have now, but it made me a bit upset when some of them didn't appreciate the art that was done in the 90's for what it was: an experimentation to find the most suitable way to draw stories.
Although I agree with them on one thing: "Antz" was scary, the whole character design was weird.
Antz was an adult movie disguised as a kids' cartoon. And I guess I was never scared by it because I was already 12/13 when it came out.

Another comment that I agree with. Anthony and Jaxon are really good together. I especially like Jaxon. He's cool, open-minded, and very knowledgeable most of the time regarding animes, cartoons, movies, etc. And the best part about him, is he's very respectful even though all of these movies are before his time and he doesn't bash them.
I love Anthony and Jaxon lol I think alot of their respect came from the fact that they had seen alot them. They had been introduced to the artistry and story so they were more open minded.

It's sad, but sadly it still happened in the 90s. Any "Animated Princess movie" got quickly compared to the Disney movies of that era, which is unfair, but it always happened. I was a teen during that decade and I remember Anya getting compared to the likes of Belle, Ariel, and Jasmine. People called movies like Anastasia "Disney Copycats". I was never part of that group and even defended it.

As a millennial that grew up in the 90s watching a lot of these movies, I'm not surprised by some of their reactions. Gen z grew up when CGI in movies began to take over, it's what they know and are used to. I'm not going to knock CGI, some of the best animated films are, but it's overdone nowadays. I miss the days when there was more variety in animation (now you have to look outside the U.S. for it). I remember when you could actually tell Disney and Pixar films apart, now half the time I can't tell the difference. In the 90's and early 2000's, you might get a 2D animated film from Disney or Don Bluth, while Pixar and Dreamworks were beginning to churn out 3D animation (which was still new at the time). You would occasionally even get stop motion animation like Nightmare Before Christmas or Wallace and Gromit. While good animated films still come out every so often, most of them look a bit sterile to me now. There's something special about animated films that are hand drawn, or stop motion created with handmade puppets. There's just so much more character and artistry to them.
