I'm not crying. . . You're crying!
The harder the good the better the man.
That is an outstanding quote
While Superman giving Atlas a break says a lot about who he is, Atlas actually coming back also speaks volumes about his character as well.
these are the little things you start out a superman or man of steel movie with...then end it with the punchline where Atlas tells Big Blue about being able to give his daughter away. But we'll never see simple things like this for people who make these flicks have their heads too far up their identity political buttocks.
The fact that Atlas is a good enough guy to take back that burden also amplifies what a POS Zeus is.

@@Fxtricky1I mean I guess - if we act like most DC heroes couldn’t handle normal city level conflicts by themselves
@@Theexavierross Its not that.. Its more or less that much like Flash when you can damn near be everywhere around the world at any givin instacne whats the point of the rest of the heros? Then again there is a implied agreement that even if there is a League its not just Supermans job to take care of every issue that plagues mankind or the world for that matter..... But all of those heros cannot say with a shadow of doubt they single handly saved the world or humanity as many times as Superman has. Thats kinda the point and respect thats givin. If Superman steps away like Atlus was suggesting to him, what happens if and when Doomsday shows up? Or Darksied? Even Wonder Woman has a limit(extremely far but she has one) and it takes the combined effort of the league to be the heros for the world just like any group. Superman just embodies a different symbol and i think people dont see that as much as just some super strong character.
another way to look at it from a joking point, Teen Titans Go episode played around like they have in the main comics with givin certain characters that have no powers, powers. Namly Robin.
He basically was complainig that the Titans were lazy because they had powers and Raven the rest said they were a curse. But to him that would be a resource he had to work for his skills. So Raven gave him basically all of Supermans powers. Whats the first thing he does? Show them they arnt needed ljust like Batman would. He flies off, two secs comes back and says he already locked all criminals up, solved world hunger and figured out how to have world peace. LOL
So the titans packed their bags and said no point in being titans anymore. lol
Again not that the point is missed but on that end they basically made fun of characters like Superman or anyone with the ability and skill to solve everything in almost an instant and yet doesnt. Thats reality hitting the imagination.
I mean they’re not gonna just let crime go on has nothing to do with respect 😂😂
Or fear
That's why I love Superman and more so Superman when he's written correctly. Not a moody powerhouse that's unsure of himself, but a hero that humanity aspires to be like. Not for the superpowers but for the righteousness.
A superhero for sure but one that saves the people, friends enemies and strangers. Gods and peasants. A guy who would hold up the heavens for a father who wants to spend a day with his daughter or a guy who rescues kittens from trees.
A person of integrity...who just happens to have superpowers.

@@Fowlplay141the Titans were just were not more powerful the Greek gods they just outnumbered them so they god help from there relatives.
TBF, I remember that he did have help from a goddess as well.
Everyone's hyping up Superman, but:
1. Atlas holds a weight that was that hard for Clark every single day which kinda makes him one of the greatest heros in DC since all the work everyone does wouldn't matter if he just let go.
2. This man WILLINGLY went back and took the weight off Supermans shoulders, not knowing when next he would be able to be free of his burden. Fiction often portrays Atlas as cruel and evil. It's nice to see the alternative cause it's really sweet that way.
Edit: I'm all for discussion, but if one more person mentions the weight of the Heavens not being a physical thing I'm gonna hurt some feelings. I can see how you'd think that's what I am implying, but I am merely commenting on and complementing Atlas' mental fortitude. I'm not making a statement about him being physically stronger than Superman, so you can stop being butthurt.
Well, Atlas is a Titan punished to hold up the weight of the world and the heavens by Zeus. It is the reason why in the story, Zeus was pissed that Atlas was even there at the wedding. As no being, other than Atlas, should be able to carry the world and the heavens. Yet, Superman did it.
Plus, if I re all the story. Atlas DID think about leaving Superman there. Yet, had second thoughts. As the world still needed Superman. And his place was to hold up the world and keep life going for all. Even his own daughter and son-in-law. So he reclaimed his place and bear the weight. All so others can bear their own weight and even lift them.
In some weight. Atlas is never alone in this task. Even times get tough. There are always those people who rise up above it and carry it all to be a beacon of hope.
As we all cannot be Superman. Yet, we can at least attempt to be better than him. Greatest heroes never wear capes. And never inspire to be heroes. They just live normal lives and have normal days. Yet, moment that norm is shattered. Something clicks and they rise up to bring order and safety to those in need. Never asking for anything in return. Those are the real heroes.
@Qardo I agree with what you're saying because it's a nice message, but.
1. I don't have a degree or anything, but I am still a 2000s child who was infatuated with the more fictional aspect of life. Which, as most would guess, lead me to good old Rick and his books, along with a terribly unhealthy obsession. I grew up loving the Mythos and researching it. Not to an extensive depth, obviously, but I know most of the bare-bones basics.
2. If Atlas didn't at least think about leaving Superman there, he wouldn't be nearly as impressive. It means he acknowledged that he could have been free and still went back, even if it wasn't something he wanted. Actually, especially since it wasn't something he wanted.
Edit: I just noticed I accidentally wrote this with a tone that sounded upset and pretentious. That was not my intention. Apologies to @Quardo. I meant no offense. I have since fixed it so that it no longer seems so crude, or at least I have given it my best attempt. Apologies again to Quardo. That was ill mannered of me.

Showing once again what a cool guy Superman is.
Imagine if Atlas was like....
"Aight f*ck it, I'm done"
_drops heavens, world ends_
Well not really. If, like Percy explains in Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods, Atlas is the one guy holding up the entire sky, but since it’s “everything you can bear and more”, he can’t exactly lift it up enough to get it off him and he can’t just decide to stop supporting it, as either way the sky will fall from that point and crush the world with himself first, so he has to hold it (or find someone else to do it) or he’ll be destroyed with it.
percy as in Percy Jackson? You do realise that Percy Jackson is its own series. Greek mythology is very different.
@@cosygoose1813well i think hes pointing out the series because the series tries to explain why atlas can't drop the sky as maybe the mythology itself doesn't explain
@@jenniferzhang9824 So it would take at least Atlas and another Titan or God to turn the Earth into a pancake?
There's a few demigods that can hold it for him for a while.
Superman gave Atlas the only thing he'll ever need to serve out the rest of eternity lifting the heavens: a priceless memory with his daughter. Lifting the heavens is something technically _anyone_ can do strength-wise, but it takes the strength of your heart to hold everything together. Only a select few will refuse to buckle under the pressure. Be like Clark and Atlas. Tackle the heavy weight of life with everything you have. Don't lift with all your *might,* lift with all your *spirit.*
Bro... Shut up.
And like Percy Jackson ❤
Anyone can do it but how long can they last remember atlas hold the heaven for eternity and everyday but superman just hold for 1-5 hours and after that he got tired and need a nap.
Billy Batson did something similar. He took his place in a story where Atlas was killed. He barely held out for an hour, but it's a great feat of mental fortitude for a 10yr old boy.
