    I bike pack by myself all the time, maybe being a 67 year old woman helps but the world is not a scary as the media would have us believe. Lovely new friends you found Liz and Alex

      Thank you! ☺️ that is so awesome that you go out on your own all the time. I’m trying to convince Alex to let me go on a couple day solo bikepacking trip! He’s needing lots of convicing 😅😆- Liz

    In 2022, a woman in my early 50's, I spent 10 weeks solo bike touring Europe. First time bike touring, first time in Europe. It was an amazing experience and I honestly think being a solo woman opened so many doors to me. I met so many lovely people and enjoyed great hospitality. Heading back to Europe in May this year for another 10 week bike tour and I can't wait. My message to anyone who may be a intimidated by the idea of travelling solo is, don't be. If I had listened to my own doubts and all the well meaning friends and family who said maybe it wasn't such a good idea, I would have missed one of the most empowering and greatest experiences of my life. There are so many places and ways to travel - take a baby step or a big step - whatever you can live with and just go for it.

      Totally agree, we did the same as a couple took a leap of faith 6 weeks ago in Europe and 2500km later we are converted to ride eat sleep routine.
      All the best for your future plans

      This is great advice. I’m not sure where you’re from but I know in the US, we’re taught that other countries are more dangerous and that you need to be really careful, but that’s just not the case. We’re always telling our family that they need to get out there and travel.

    Best way to eat Bled cream cake is to grab the top (crust) with your left hand and then you can use fork in your right hand for the soft parts simultaneously. Finally you eat the bottom crust with fork "and" hand.. This is how children here in Slovenia eat it.

    Long time Subscriber and really appreciate all effort you guys put in these and share them for free so we can watch. One thing that makes it hard to watch your current videos is the extra large sun visors/bonnet. I get why...... they are just very distracting.......... . Thank you very much! Wishing you both much happiness. You guys Rock!

      Hi! Thanks for being a long time subscriber!! I know the visors might look a bit dorky but our skin has been soooo much better since the first bikepacking trip we did without them. We both developed major sun spots from that trip because you’re just in the sun all day long, and the visors have helped a lot.

    Hi Guys
    Just subscribed great effort on your channel.
    Wondering what app you are using for navigation.
    We bikepack Amsterdam to Andermatt and back to Zurich and found MapOut was awesome worked offline and you can plan and reroute offline.
    Had all the bike and hiking routes overlays best $5 ever no subscription, just need an iPhone.
    All the best Conrad & Lee

      Hi Conrad and Lee, we used an app called Komoot. For the most part is was good, especially for the overall route, there were just a few situations that it wasn’t perfect and we had to just had to use our own judgement or a different app. Navigation got a lot harder the further east we went. I’ll have to check out MapOut.

    I’m leaving London on march 1st to do the same and I’ve just discovered your videos about an hour ago so now I’m currently binge watching them, have you encountered any issues along your way or with people or anything similar

      @PursuingMountains  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We haven’t had issues with people they were great! We did encounter lots of other challenges but any great adventure will be full of them 😅Make sure you bring a very sturdy tent. Our ultralight weight tent died in a storm. Happy to discuss more if you have any other questions ect as you prep to leave.

    That's the first time I hear a German translate the numbers in their own style. I assume he's 29 and not 92? 😅
