    Wao! Incredible! But how big will the yam that would grow from this be? Tiny?

    • @LiliansGardens
      @LiliansGardens  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it will be a small yam. Sunshine is not adequate and a larger pot would be required for a table sized yam. The small yam will be a big seedling though.

    Hi Beautiful Lilian. Can you please move the camera so we can see what you are doing? And explain why you are using aspirin and aloe? I dont have an aloe plant as they don't grow where I live, but I can buy some, but its expensive.
    Is there any alternative? I use willow bark as a rooting hormone for some seedlings.

    We live in a very hot dry summer region. Would it help to mist the leaves every day or two? Honestly, I've never seen yams growing up. They sprawl along the ground in a super thick mass. Once there are a lot of thick vines, we eat the tips of some that are geowing so long, the farm a mile away will have them in their farm, lol!

    • @LiliansGardens
      @LiliansGardens  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the yam leaves will benefit greatly from misting every thwo or three days depending on your time and water

    Thank you for the video.
    My yams plantation in bags and heaps are doing well regarding the leaves and vines.
    Can I cut the leaves and vines straight away and plant as detailed here?
    Is it a must I keep the plantation inside throughout the period before harvest or can I also put them outside my farm where they can observe sun and rain ?
    Can garden soil with chicken drops be used as soil?
    Thanks.

    • @LiliansGardens
      @LiliansGardens  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you too.
      Glad to read your yams are growing well. Yes you may cut the vines now... and plant as detailed here.
      You need to keep it in shade away from direct sunlight for the first 2/3 weeks. When it has grown roots transfer to sunny area using garden soil and chicken manure. Water them after planting outside so they establish well.

    I want your channel to be incredibly successful. Please dont be upset for what I say, just know I am saying this with kindness in my heart.
    Camera:
    Please pay adjust and watch the angle of your camera including setting it up so we can see what you are doing. Please dont put your hands, arms, or body in front of the camera.
    Audio:
    Please speak clearly and loud enough for us to hear you. Please dont try to speak through the sound of crinkling bag, or any other sounds.
    Screen words. Some things you use definately need to be spelled out and include an alternative as other countries may not have what you have, or we cant here what you said.
    However, the words dont nneed to take up the whole screen.
    Speed or tempo of the instructions:
    Please explain what you are going to do clearly, maybe put a list of items at the bottom for a few seconds, or what is needed to sterilize or whats in the starting soil, etc., then move on. In this video you gave us a demonstration, which explains what you are talking about. (I couldnt see or hear much of it, but I got some of the bits).
    The speed of instruction or time spent looking at the plant is a bit too slow and people lose interest quickly. *If its too fast, people lose interest also.
    You are clearly brilliant and I want to learn from you. Please take what I'm saying as positive feedback. I don't mean it to be mean. ❤

    I've had yam plants growing many times from vines, yet never have I ever had a bloom or seed. My Mama even had a yam plant rowing in an old stainless steel teapot for over 10 years. Never no blooms nor seeds. What did we do wrong?

    • @LiliansGardens
      @LiliansGardens  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The yam seedlings are little tubers at the base of the stem. They are located in the soil. The tubers are planted the next year hence they are called yam seedlings. Yams produce flowers and seeds after about four/ five years but it has to be growing in ground or very spacious container.

    • @LiliansGardens
      @LiliansGardens  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Don't use honey. This increases your cost of production for little to no difference. Having a stable warm temperature is the deal breaker for germination and root and shoot growth.
