Watching this episode brought tears to my eyes, you are surrounded by such beauty, and by so many amazing things. I have lived my entire life in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains (not quite like the old TV show the Beverly Hillbillies although we do supposedly come from the same area!) The fossils we have here are much different, being embedded in the Limestone hills and Bluffs of the area. We do not have the shell beads with holes but the superstitions of the Hag Stone is common as many early graves here were marked with lime stone fieldstones which contain a round hole which goes all the way through the stone. I tend an old cemetery when I can and there are many stones of this type. but they have no names or dates, but were chosen with care for the holes they contain. The beauty of your beaches takes me to places I will never go, and I imagine myself walking and searching with you. Be Blessed!

Something wonderful about stroking the Earth looking for ancient treasures. Great photography, don't know if you have a new camera or it was the sunshine but everything was sharp, glorious scenery. England is paradise on days like these. Beautiful laughter, you two are so special. Tremendous history and detective work .

Native Americans strung beads in sinew. They would punch holes in buckskin with bone awls, then push the sinews through to string beads. They changed after first contact. The began to use iron awls made of discarded nails or perhaps procured another way.

Hiya, awesome video and I just wanted too say, that I make jewelry out of Petrified horn coral and other types of coral. Some can be opalized, if I were to make a bracelet or necklace out of the beads yall are using, tie a small nott after each bead for in case, if it breaks so you don't lose any beads. That's how pearl necklaces are made. I hope you both and your family, have a awesome blessed day. Cya!

I really enjoyed that! And I so wish to go scouring some of the British beaches for myself... but until I can, it's nice to do it vicariously through you! When I used to live in Scotland, I lived by the beach, and I found a few "beads" there - I always thought it was strange that either a little stone had a natural hole in it like that, or that someone would put the effort into drilling a hole into a plain pebble.. but maybe they were sponge fossils like yours? I don't know if they "grow" that far north? Anyhow, a lovely and instructive film. Thank you very much! kindest regards, k
