I understand it's hard for some to realize, but these little details are important. I think Byron Donald's will have a better shot.... I really like Byron Donalds for vice. I still think vivek ramaswamy should have that seat. He can get sht done. Like trump, he's fast and effective. If they both hit this office and split the tasks we could see an administration more successful than trump first... which no politician could even come close to.... politicians are for politics. The president's seat should be held by a lastly successful businessman. Running the nation is like running the world's largest corporation. Politicians aren't responsible enough for that. They're too busy trying to line their own pockets to help the rest of us. When you look at a billionaire who wipes his azz with 400k he really doesn't need the money...he doesn't need the stress either. He would probably rather be on a beach with his supermodel wife sipping martinis or something but instead gives everything up to help the citizens of this country..... just think about that for a minute.the guy has been out of office for 4 years and created a social media site that went public and boosted his net worth from like 2.8 billion to around 7.2 billion. I never got to see my father except outside from a distance at his nursing home, he passed 2 days before Father’s Day 2020. I don’t understand why people judge and say such stupid crap on the news. I tear up with every thought that comes in or reminder of my father, called being human.
I have a similar experience. Couldn't be near my dad, as he waited for vaccine to roll out. Had to see him through the car window, or sitting across the yard- cold and windy. He had a heart attack, and the first thing they did at the hospital was give him the brand new vaccine. He died within 3 days. At least I was able to say good bye- the hospital let me be with him.

The question at the center of the spat may seem abstract: How should the court use “history and tradition” to decide modern-day legal issues? But the answer may determine how the court resolves some of the biggest cases set to be released in the coming days, particularly its latest foray into the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
If the court adheres to a strict history-centric approach, as Thomas favors, it will likely strike down a federal law denying firearms to people under domestic violence restraining orders.
But Barrett recently foreshadowed that she is distancing herself from that approach. If she breaks with Thomas in the gun case, known as United States v. Rahimi, and if she can persuade at least one other conservative justice to join her, they could align with the court’s three liberals to uphold the gun control law.
What is Constitutional originalism and why is it important? It's important because if you don't have originalism there is no useful need of and/or need for the Constitution. Everything, including our rights, is entrusted to a parliament that will decide by law. Do you want to live in a country with a Government like that or do you want to have something that guarantees to you your rights as a citizen? If you do this is why we have a Constitution. Originally, traditionally, historically Americans have always had the right to keep and bear arms, even before the 1776 revolution. The right to keep and bear arms predated the founding of America and the revolution. And after the revolution at the time of the framing of the Bill of Rights the founders did not strip Americans of the right to keep and bear arms, but they guaranteed it in the Constitution. A right is convenient not inconvenient. It's bad enough that Americans have to submit background checks to the Government in order to buy firearms from federally licensed gun dealers. It will be even more inconvenient if you have to submit background checks to the Government to buy ammunition. You're out in the country some place and you want to stop by a convenient store out on the highway to buy ammunition and you have to wait days for a background check. A right is convenient not inconvenient. You look at the overreaches of the Government and it makes you think has the Government found a way to keep a jury in it's back pocket at all times when prosecuting the accused? I think they have. Felons are barred by law from serving as jurors. So automatically the Government has said these people who broke the laws that we created are barred from serving as jurors because they were convicted by a jury. But was that jury impartial? You would naturally think it's a good thing that those who serve as jurors should not have prior convictions or even people with unconvicted crimes. One guy put it jurors should be like salt for the earth. But that's just not what the Constitution is telling us when it says the accused have a right to a jury trial that is impartial. What if the Government's attorney in the voir dire process asked self incriminating questions to all the prospective jurors and the ones that took the 5th amendment they striked from the panel? And the jury that ends up seated are the perfect citizens that always follow the laws and the ways of the Government? Are you going to sit there and tell me the Government doesn't have a jury in it's back pocket at all times? Going back to guns you have a progressive nature in politics right now. And what this mean is you have people who hate the fact that they were born in a country where their fellow citizens have the right to keep and bear arms. They would love nothing more than to ban that right through legislation, but think God for Article 3. And some of these gun control and/or gun regulating laws are questionable. What about this Hunter Biden conviction? Originally, traditionally, historically are these federal laws of prohibition even Constitutional? Well the answer is apparently no.
On the otherhand: Ban “weapons of war” such as AK 47s, etc. Then the boys who never grew up (and harp about “the right to bear arms”) will be more inclined to join the military (which is actually ) “a well regulated militia” - where their juvenile fantasies can meet the actual needs of defending our country.
Imo- Amy Coney Barret is a question mark as to being a real Conservative- ditto Kavanagh. They will end up like Roberts - swing voters

I served in the military and consider myself pretty tough. But as I've gotten older, I am more emotional over sad experiences in my own life but also in the life of others.

Although this is possibly a false equivalence, but I point out that one of History's greatest leaders of the 20th Century, Winston Churchill, was often seen weeping openly in public. This is not only NOT a negative but perhaps even a positive attribute.
