    This is amazing way of snakes movement, I really liked the sidewinder rattle snake, that zig zag side way of moving it's interesting and I have just catch up with the video, I missed it because I was little bit busy two days ago but I enjoyed it, thank you so much for your amazing video.

      Many many thanks for coming to watch the video Alfa! :) We are happy that you enjoyed it, the Sidewinder is a very special snake. But there are vipers with similar movement in Sahara desert in Africa too and also in Namib desert. Our favorite is Puff adder with its movement! :)

    Even though I disagree with your time frame on a lot of your other videos, these are some of the best filmed, and best produced wildlife videos I've seen anywhere. They rival anything produced. I look forward for whats yet to come! Bravo!!!!

    As always a beautiful video. I did a snake handling session two years ago.
    This snake was by far the most difficult to catch and handle amongst Cobras Vipers and a Black Mamba.

      Thank you so much!!! Really? We agree that in general small vipers or coral snakes are difficult to handle. They are fast and agile.

    Yeas ago use to catch them for research. Got bit by one and treated it myself without incident not a bad bite, no necrosis just a lot of swelling

    • @LivingZoology
      @LivingZoology  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Their venom should be one of the weaker ones among rattlesnakes. Glad to hear that you were fine after the bite.

    • @garymyers472
      @garymyers472 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Living Zoology Heard the potency is there but the volume minimal., Right after the bite and several times later that evening I treated it with a spark plug electrical shock. I assume it broke up the enzymes in the venom. I just sipped Benadryl through the weekend and talked to a doctor who treats snake bite, a friend of mine, 13 hours later. Blood work no hemolysis surprising as my arm was a swollen sausage. No pain

    • @LivingZoology
      @LivingZoology  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@garymyers472 They definitely don't have high quantities of venom and also its strength is middle among rattlesnakes. Interesting strategy with the electrical shock! Have you heard about it before? We never came across this strategy.

    • @garymyers472
      @garymyers472 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Living Zoology I read about it as a treatment used in the Amazon probably around 1968. The swelling progressed slowly and painlessly overnight. A week later there were tender bruises on my back. I think electroshock is a treatment used in India for krait envenomation by villagers. It makes sense. If the electroshock breaks apart the chemical structure of the enzymes all you have left is foreign protein. Doesn't make Pharma happy but neither did Hydroxy Chloroquine in spite of its effectiveness

    • @LivingZoology
      @LivingZoology  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, there are vipers which are sidewinding and they don't have a rattle. Sidewinder rattlesnake is an exception.

    The video footage is always amazing: but the captions on the screen are not. You have to take your focus off the image and search for where the captions pop up next (randomly). I feel it takes away from the amazing video footage. You guys should do these narrated?

    • @LivingZoology
      @LivingZoology  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to pay a narrator for each video. But we produce long narrated documentaries also, such as: th-cam.com/video/Rq2k4Tzu198/w-d-xo.html
