One thing I've noticed traveling Central American locations were not problems with the actual locals but the traveling campers/surfers that were the ones that you had to watch out for stealing and just giving a bad name for other respectful traveling surfers A bit off topic but I had to mention it Treat people how you want to be treated Thanks for sharing as always my friend Be well and Safe travels 👍🤙
Dan thanks for all your content. What time of year do you recommend El Tunco for the cleanest most consistent surf, not necessarily the biggest? Thanks again!
Every time I see one of your videos pop up, I see your name and see Damien Hardman (your two names), former pro and WSL world champ from the 80/90s. My early years in surfing NZ and AUS. I'm enjoying your content.
@@KnotchiGaming Maybe North Country, La Jolla to oceanside not whole city. North County I would rank as number 2 only because Santa Cruz is more consistent. Both have variety but I think Santa Cruz has more point breaks in shorter distance also the surrounding nature is nicer.
hear the wifi in puerto is really bad and only selina has decent wifi, is that treu? Im looking foward to visit and work from there but as a video editor i need good wifi to download and mostly upload videos, will i find it too mucho of a hassle there? ps: is it the same for el tunco?
I live in Brazil and can affirm that it might be difficult if you don't speak Portuguese but English is the first language that middle/upper classes learn. Generally speaking, Brazilians are very friendly and willing to help.

Planning an El Salvador trip for either late this year or early next year, definitely putting El Tunco on the list 🙏🏽
Sick mate!! Such a wicked lil spot, might see ya there ;)
Prices at El Tunco have gone up exponentially, though. Papaya lodge is around 100$ per night and no available rooms for months
Really!? You can still find shared dorm rooms there for less than $20?
Paia Maui. Jaws, Hookipa many others close by.
Florianópolis it´s an island and has a city with the same name.
Did you film this from jail?
Hahah! A private “office” space technically, but I see ya point ;)
Just a pedantic correction, Mexico is part of the North American continent, south is Central to Panama, then is South.
Great video though, thanks
Hi mate!! Did I say Mexico was in South America?? I think North America is until Panama, then South America starts in Colombia?
damn can you do a little guide for sayulita?
Another great video Dan, thanks for not mentioning Cape Town. We don't want more surfers...
Thanks mate!! Haha, as long as I mention the sharks alongside it, you'd be alright ;)
Love these!!!! Your videos are the best!
Glad you like them!
Bro forgot north Devon 😂😂😂
Hahhah ;)
@@DanHarmon123 Video idea - make profiles on each pro surfer - could be free surfers, big wave surfer or tour surfers.
Great to see Floripa among your picks! Saquarema is another great surf town in Brazil.
Greta shout!! Yeah Brazil has some wicked towns :)
Still can't believe you haven't said Byron Bay! Or the QLD equivalent, Noosa Heads! Both heavily surf orientated towns.
Yeah, great shouts to fair!! Don't know why I even missed them haha!
Lol mavs isn’t in Santa Cruz
Half moon bay to be precise
Yeah, you're right, it's in Half Moon Bay. It was more a point about the first surfers who charged it being from Santa Cruz :)
Cambutal Panama

Thanks, Scott!! Sounds good, I should be there around then also :)
We love ❤️ your videos 📹
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much :))
Great one!❤
Dan's the man!!!!
went there in 2008 and scored it with like 10 people. it was amazing
Sick! Which place??
HTS lances left
❤❤🤙love this video
Thank you :)
Depsire the cold water, outside of Hawaii Santa Cruz is best surf town in the US.
San Diego is def the best. more variety of waves, better weather, better beach culture, better surf shops, etc.

Check out byron bay! Lots of options and great surf
Everyone, please do go to Haleiwa. It's a cool surf town. You'll catch loads of waves. LMAO
Hahaha! Think I was too scared to surf out there for the majority of my trip ;)

Is it difficult traveling/surfing in Brazil if you don’t speak much Portuguese?

que legal! Eu quero melhorar meu português, o Brasil é muito legal
It can be for sure!! A bit of Portuguese goes a heck of a long way!
@@juan_salvador_gaviota tu vai conseguir se virar legal falando espanhol ou ingles aqui! para outras linguas já fica um pouco mais complicado
