It always drove me nuts during this era when they would take songs like this that originally swung like hell and then they’d play them totally straight with no sense of swing at all. I remember seeing them on the first show of this tour in Chicago and being so disappointed when they played this tune and The Last Time. The swing and original feel was totally gone from them. That said, this is still really great footage!
@dmzabo3914 Yeah, that was always a concert highlight, like in "Ladies and Gentlemen" and in "Some Girls Live in Texas". The audience caught fire whenever they sang "Happy" together.
Great vid! This day have been full time watching Stones vids here on TH-cam. I guess for me the itch for the upcoming Europe tour is bigger than ever! I just can't wait! Watching the vids from the Racket made me quite emotional and charged with energy!
Great video with really interesting angles. Thank you for sharing, Justin. I would love to see this classic come back to the set list on a regular basis. It's hard to believe that 1997 is latter-day Stones, and that's already 28 years ago! What a band!
I recall hearing that Charlie’s monitor mix was nothing but Keith (unusual for a drummer to key off the guitarist) and you can really hear that in this video when the camera person moves close to Charlie.
So long coat Mick amd Ronnie have😊❤❤❤❤❤and Charlie❤❤❤is playing the drums❤🎉and Keith❤very bad sound in this mowie no good😮❤❤The last jacket is better on Mick he shall not have that big long rock..❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was working as a line producer for a Best Buy commercial that the Stones were a part of we had backstage passes and were present to two rehearsals at Soldier Field, and opening night. I still can't believe it really happened. It wasn't out of body experience. !! and I got paid for it!!!
It's fascinating watching Charlie play drums, he is sorely missed!
I got pinned! Thata pretty cool, thank you!

Wow, Mick and Keith sharing a mic is so seventies !
And it's always a joy to watch Charlie.
Thanks, Justin !
I loved it when he would sing Happy with Keith. That stopped probably in the early 80’s.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this. They really kicked ass on the later 90s tours
Absolutely! 💯
Ronnie with the spiked hair and cigarette hanging out of his mouth, Mick prancing in his outrageous outfit and cool Keef - classic ❤❤

So it has been announced that they will tour Europe in 2025? I hope so for you guys and gals.
Hope you get to see them this summer Hans!

It's great to hear all the different perspectives 👍

Love ya Wembley Whammer aka Mr Charlie Watts
❤️❤️
Darryl bass is heard clearly
Very cool. Really enjoyed seeing it from this perspective. Wonder who was holding the camera, maybe one of their kids?
We'll never know!
They really miss Brian Jones steady guitar groove on this. This is just wrong.
This comes from organized informative closet ? Right ? 😂
😀

What do you expect from the sound taken from backstage?
@erichschmid3016 NO nothing read that later so nothing to be so.upseth on its old mowie from 1987 so the sound wasent good in that time...
I was on stage in Chicago for this Tour's rehearsals and opening night!Basically my POV was just about this camera's.
