First the Tony Hawk video turns out to be a prank video and now the PS5 Competition is a commentary on the electoral collage!? I don't think I can trust these guys anymore.
It's funny, I only started playing Sunshine for the first time today after getting 120 stars in Mario 64 earlier this week and I feel like Sunshine feels so smooth and largely intuitive (with the only exception being aiming is a little awkward but nothing compared to aiming in Luigi's Mansion 3) and Mario 64 almost all the challenge was from the laughably absurd movement, controls, and camera. I mean in 64 there's a mechanic where if you try to move the opposite direction just shortly after stopping Mario will like walk 3 feet forward and to the right instead of just turning around and it's like ???? and just is so easy to run off ledges and it's so contrary to how every other game works it's like something you have to unlearn.. and then one of the camera options literally just zooms in on Mario's back like 2 inches back it's like when would I ever want it zoomed in this far lol
I think super mario sunshine is great! And handles perfectly, it's incredibly fluid, the issue with the port in the camera, they've completely changed it, it clips on everything, and it follows mario from different directions instead of allow a closer view of Mario. I think the game's phenomenal in this port.
after the Crash and Spyro trilogy I just feel Mario All Stars is poorly valued, 60 bucks for 3 games that are emulated with barely any new customizable options or improvements? Hard pass. The absence of Galaxy 2 also just feels jarring. Congrats to johnny and what an absolute champ Shawn was regarding the win.
Just so Johnny knows, they changed the controls in Mario Sunshine in the 3D Allstars collection. It was inverted on GameCube but it's regular now. It feels way better. Also Derrick, you should check out Hades! It's on Steam and on the Switch. It's the best Rogue like game I've ever played and I really think you'd like it

Well, as a lifelong bill & ted fan and someone that worked on the new movie, don't love that derrick didn't like it, but that's totally ok. his idea sounds like it'd be a fun movie too
i know what shawn means about bill and ted 2 being negative. i haven't watched it but that's one major reason why i don't like banjo tooie as much as banjo kazooie. it's just so much more mean spirited than the first one to me. doesn't hurt that i find the levels less fun of course
