Yeah. Trade away the #2 overall pick, a possession monster who is an elite third line player who may still hit top six upside for 6/7 d-man and then trade a 1 st overall who is having a rough patch but shows the potential to be a 70+ points a year player for many years to come for a dude who has 2-4 more top end years left. Makes perfect sense. If they trade Laf it has to be for a young A prospect or a 1st round pick that will be a top 5 pick. Trading him for Miller does not make them a contender or even make them a playoff team. Trade him to be good enough to not make the playoffs yet not be bad enough to get a high first round pick while getting older? Sounds smart.
For Brady Tkatcuk sure, not J.T. no dis on J.T but he is on the wrong side of 30. And trade like this doesn't matter much when you have players like Mika on your team dragging everyone down
I like the idea but we lose out on a strong centerman. Not sure if this transaction would make sense if we're trading away a problem to open up another hole in the team.
Me too hahaha. I was thinking the Rangers are so over the moon for jt the Canucks would want to get Laffy and one of their young d for JT. Cap wise it should work.
JT went home for a month when EP bullied him in the locker room. That’s not the kind of guy you want on your team and that’s not the kind of guy you give up your only prospect who has a chance at playing 500 NHL games for.
Why trade a younger player with potential to do even more with the right people around him for a guy they used to have and gave up on already? Miller might be doing well with Vancouver but I bet if he got here it would stop. Laf has talent and just needs more time with better players to open up. Miller is already 31, this is when things start to slide for many players...potentially making him yet another player the Rangers land on the downside of their careers...
If NYR are in a win now situation I could see them wanting JT MIller as a top line C Canucks would need to get a Center back and Defense A 3 way trade might make sense,. Maybe with Detroit or Montreal where a center like JT Compher or Christian Dvorak is coming back. I dont see Lafrenier being the main piece to help Vancouver with a deep playoff run. The main piece would need to be one of LD - Kandre Miller, RD- Braden Schnieder, or LD -Ryan Lindgren
I trade Miller and two 1sts for Laf what are we even talking about. What are you getting, maybe 4-5 good years of Miller vs 15 of Laf? He’s going to be a ppg player minimum. It’s a no brainer. Rangers would never do it though.
@@jaatynytenkeli that's also true. But that isn't a matter of overall pick. It's about talent, I wouldn't trade laf if I was nyr, but it's not about being first overall. It's about how he showed an evolution when nyr gave him an opportunity.
ITS NOT HAPPENING!!! why would i want my team to trade a guy thats 23 and broke out last season for a guy thats in his 30's and gets into arguments with his teammates, i would not even trade k'andre miller for him
it makes zero sense rags suck and should be keeping YOUNG players. Van is good and should be giving up young players for upgrades now. jt. miller is a 100 pt beast. way better and way older than lafreniere...the trade is backwards
Makes zero sense trading a winger for a number one centre in the Canucks case. They are a win now team.

Don't think NY would do it 1 for 1. But if it can happen, Vancouver would be foolish not to take that deal!
Lego I used to really enjoy your content but honestly you have gone down hill faster than the Canucks defensive play this season
For Brady Tkatcuk sure, not J.T. no dis on J.T but he is on the wrong side of 30. And trade like this doesn't matter much when you have players like Mika on your team dragging everyone down
@@alexandergustafsson4245 nobody would trade Brady Tkachuk away for lafreniere...
@@ludovicvalade2149 yes, but that is not what I said. I said I would. Of course OTT won't do that. Just as much as Laffy for Miller is a stupid move.

@ohbequietlol we can always hope that Drury is going senile and makes that blockbuster trade in Vancouver's favor!
@ohbequietlolMiller is 31, not mid-30s
@ohbequietlol I agree.
@ohbequietlol yes, the Rangers would never do this trade, but no need to exaggerate Miller’s age to make this point.
@ohbequietlolthe rangers suck tho stop defending them they need as much help as they can get
Rangers fans: we traded our #2 pick, what do we do now?
Chris Drury: lets trade our #1 pick.
I suggested this myself a week or so ago
@ohbequietlol and nobody wants them so forget about it

I got a Laffy Jersey for Christmas...if they trade him, I'm going to address this with Drury in person
Its very hard to run into a Team GM or an owner
We have tried with Aquillini to no avail
@conservativeamber1216 😂😂😂
Laffy is going NOWHERE for ANYONE!
Yes, this trade makes sense for Vancouver, 0 for the Rangers. The Rangers are heading for a rebuild, trading for an aging Miller is very dumb
If NYR are in a win now situation I could see them wanting JT MIller as a top line C

NY is going to trade Schneider anytime soon
TOP4 D are very hard to come by especially after trading Trouba

Laf would need to play C which he probably can't. Even then no way the NY does this.
will jonathan tanner go back to the big apple? will laffy come to hollywood north? *stay tuned to find out
Just to put it to bed and be done with it
I’d rather see Miller traded to a team like Columbus. Johnson and Fabbro would suffice. Canucks gain cap space this way.
Thats where Petey might be going
No way he’s 31
Jt miller for Adam fox
The East Coast Commentators believe FOX is better than Hughes LOL
Hes not...Theres no way FOX or Schneider get traded by NY
Why would rangers trade first overall pick for an older 15th overall pick?
Are you dumb? Kaprizov is a 135th overall, does that mean justin baron who's younger and a 25th overall better? No, your point has 0 sens
Well miller is a 100 point center not sure lap ever gets 100 points but hes good
@jayt3096 he's also 8 years older. I mean I know Rangers like their veterans but I don't see the logic in this trade.

I think its time unsub. Just tired of wasting my time
