In this tutorial you'll learn how to make an origami snake step by step. This is a modular origami and you can choose how many units you wanna use: the more units you make, the longer will be the snake. In the video I'm using 8 units.

I'm having trouble with the first step, dividing it in 5, is there another way? I can't seem to find lined paper that fits the size of my paper. (I am also unsure about the exact size of my paper, sorry)
Yes, it is possible to divide into 5ths without any tools, I did it on the old tutorial: th-cam.com/video/GbhkXHPmvdM/w-d-xo.html

Use a Ruler and a calculator to calculate either 2/5 or 3/5 of your paper length and go that far from one of the two edges. Worked fine for me. (I drew that distance on another piece of paper and layed it next to my workspace so I wouldn't have to use my ruler all the time.)

Oh my, oh my. Pretty hard at the beginning, almost rage quit, but I ended the snake, after that I was showing up in my house, jaja.

I was having trouble with folding the X part of the square but I ended up finishing it in 6 hours but that was a time killer cause I was so bored anyways keep up the awesome work !

Thanks for the tip on how to divide the piece of paper into 5ths, what an amazing way....without knowing this I would probably switched to the method of a ruler.

yo if you have lego or another type of toy construction brick, there are lots of tutorials on how to make a smartphone holder. I hope this help and sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes

In addition of ideas, if you want your tail's snake to rattle, add some crumpled paper or paper stuff on the last end so if it was shaken, it has sounds. :3
Also, make it a little big so it won't fall off the hole of its tail
