which of you guys actually succeeded in making this? don’t get me wrong this isn’t nightmarishly hard nor child’s play level of easy but i expect some people to be able to finish this model..

The spider looked great however, you turned origami very quickly so it was difficult to know which side I needed to fold.

Tip: around 5:11, notice all sides BUT 1 is folded inside it. Which leaves you that asymmetrical diamond. I slowed the video to x.5 to catch that.

Looks pretty nice and with a little bit of mind strength you can pass through it.
Problem: the paper is going to take a lot of damage through the scissors, also in many corners tears develop and I had to tear a lot of pieces to finish the model.
The glue in the end killed me. I love Origami so I do not have to glue something, but in this instruction you have to, because otherwise it will not stand on the ground.
Hopefully there will be a better crafting method to build this cool model

In the middle of 90s I bought an Origami Book at Walmart, It was stunning, one of the nicest options to make is this exactly tarantula.
Could you imagine how hard for a children of 6 was to follow instructions with just a drawing of how you should fold the paper ? It was a freaking nightmare, the best useless book I had.
Now, with 34 I will try again following this video.

The outward fold on the legs looks much better, gives them more visible mass.
It is a good model and I don't mind cutting or glue. Folding eight legs from one sheet would require super thin and fairy large piece.

this model isnt very very hard, BUT the way this video is made without any verbal instructions or captions, makes it very hard to figure out where each fold goes, and i found it very very irritating to continuously pause the video for each step, Plus during the last few steps, its so confusing as per which side of the model is being done first, which shouldve been mentioned. So, im giving this video a thumbs DOWN, only because it took me more than an hour to make where as with normal instructions it would've taken me 20 minutes. And yes, i dont like the idea of using scissors, although it can be avoided also, but just the fact that scissors are easier to use in this case doesn't make it "Origami Friendly". AND you used Glue !? Really disappointed with this video !

It worked for him/her. Use common sense to figure out how to do it, to figure out the dimensions and such. Like making a paper 8x8, if it's 8x10 I use a ruler and cut 2 inches off to make it 8x8. It worked for me. And glue? Disturbing, yes, but if it works...if you love origami, you should be able to endure any hardships and work them out. Better yet, why not message this person and ask questions? I'm sure he'll answer them; otherwise, why else publicize this video? To show you how to do it. Maybe he doesn't speak English and that's why there's no voicing. I guess you'll have to find instructions from another video, there's plenty, I saw. :-) good luck
