Thanks for the video and effort, very informative. One comment if you don't mind. I believe even for VAV systems, you will still need to separate each thermal zone on a separate AHU/package unit due to restrictions by energy codes in terms of . Let's say we are in winter, where the perimeter zones will definitely need heating while the internal zones need cooling and both zones are on the same AHU. If you prioritize the cooling demand, then the perimeter zone VAV box will modulate to lowest air flow rate then activate the reheat coil which leads to huge energy waste and may even be non compliant cause the dT will be greater than the code maximum range (some codes states max reheat is 7K). On the other hand, If we prioritize the perimeter zones heating demand over the internal zones, then this will lead to very poor thermal comfort in the internal zone cause it needs cooling!?

If i change setpoint to higher value in all VAVs alll gets closed, what happens to the AHU which is running and all air outlets are closed

That depends on the application. In some cases the code requires that the VAV terminals setback to their minimum position and not close fully. If for some reason all VAV's were 100% closed and this was an acceptable condition under the code of authority and application, then the AHU should be program to cycle off. Remember that ASHRAE 62.1 requires that occupied spaces be provided with a minimum rate of ventilation.
