I think from now on, Ash should only be referred to as "Ash from Wolverhampton" in any future PlayStation Access video or livestream.
This has definitely been one of the takeaways from this series, makes me smile every time I hear it mentioned.

There's something special about the challenges which require all 3 team members to be actively involved. It just adds that little something extra when everyone is fully invested in the result.

The way Rob's, "I know what it is... You're just not very good," had me scream laughing.
I think the thing I love most about this year's maze is the amount of common banter. Just talking about cats, making jokes, all that normal stuff just thrills me for some reason.
I also love it when they mention America! I don't know why. It's like a part of me goes, "hey that's me!"
Ash and Dave arguing for like half a minute to get the question wrong is the highlight for me. xD
This episode has put me in the mood to play CTR again.
This was a really good challenge and I appreciate Dave and Ash not abusing the fact that there was no punishment for getting a question wrong and giving each question a fair attempt.
The music fake out on one of the questions was delightful as well.

Is it weird that I'm feeling bad for Robert S Pearson at this point? The tight time did help with the drama in this one, which is nice. That slow zoom on Rosie got a good chuckle out of me though.

I am absolutely loving this series this year.
Dave, Ash and Rosie make such an amazing team. Robert S. Pearson has crafted some great challenges and made for some amazing drama.
As much as I want to see the next episodes, I'm scared to see the series end!
Had there been a penalty for wrong answers or passing this would have been a much different challenge
And Dave clocked onto that right at the start.
5 seconds lost for a pass or missed question would have cost them the challenge.

@@Eric-bq8nd Or maybe not, they spent more than 5 seconds each time trying to guess the answers and getting them wrong, it would have been quicker to just say pass and lose the time and get on with it

Yes, yes, yes. Karting and trivia, now that is a combination I like. Suggestion for next time in regards to trivia, do not roll until question is answered correctly. Even if there was a pass (which was not abused more, great sportsmanship), they would get new question on same topic until answered correctly. Keep up the great work. Can not wait for final surprise challenge.
You have to give it to them on this one, Robert S. Pearson. They won fair and square, and Rosie’s performance on that last course was impressive.

This challenge is no doubt designed to help Rob get a few extra Wumpa Coins and knock out some challenges without playing.

I liked this one perfect amount of challenge no need to change it up half way through and both teams had something entertaining to do

Re watching the episode it just popped in my head how that last run Rosie's concentrated phase felt like that part in speed racer movie adaptation where he restarts the car.
I love how Rob seems so delighted over how well this challenge came together as planned with Rosie's last clutch race (he knew it would happen, we knew it would happen...), that he seemingly has to walk out of frame for a while to regain composure before coming back in character with a pretend frown 😄
All in all, this far the challenges really have been expertly planned, and S. Pearson has done an excellent job of - if needed - adjusting them on the fly to maximize the thrill for the audience.

This was the most exciting episode yet, for me at least anyway. Which may have been helped by the fact I've played a lot of both CTR and Trivial Pursuit in my day. Rosie is so talented at so many things, it's incredible.

btw Rob here's a suggested challenge for next year:
Gem collector:
collect 7 chaos emeralds in Sonic Mania EX within 30 mins
It would have been a different scenario should Robert S Pearson have the power to ban a specific contestant from the controller.
Also Rosie should be known as Rosie "The Clutch" Caddick for managing to pull off the impossible always at the last minute!
Once she did the crystal challenge it was all good.
This was a really clever game combo. Only thought, wrong answers should have had a 15 or 30 second time penalty. Otherwise, for non-pie questions, they could just immediately pass.
Whoohoo!! Binged watch episodes 6-8 and I was on the edge of my seat throughout those episodes!!!! Can't wait to see what is in store for the Access Team after this! Also, thanks to the trivial pursuit game I learned some interesting facts.

She's so unbelievably clutch. Mad props for trying to become better than Rob at CTR. This contest was a gift by Rrrrrobert S Pearson. He knew Rosie would be the one driving. That's why he never got that upset that they would win this challenge. This was a gimme.
Nice episode, but I'm already submitting my vote for best moment of the Christmas Maze. It was Rosie's clutch performance with Spyro.
One thing this series has affirmed is how good Rosie is at video games under pressure.
I'm trying to determine which has been the most savage show of 2021, Squid Game or The Christmas Maze. It's neck and neck at the moment.
