- 70802 returns from Standish junc. to Mountsorrel with the self-discharge train. After filming it on the Incline last week, I decided this time to pop to Barnt Green this time for a different shot.
It was slightly early and so was held for the Cross-City units. We quickly re-positioned ourselves and 802 re-starts the train and continues it's journey. Still looking nice.
Nice looking locomotive! Beautiful place! Cool Video! Like#58!
Nice one, photted this at Standish jct coming off the Goldem Valley, good to see the load properly
Thanks. Proper train! Glad you got a shot.
An almost effortless start. Thanks for sharing.
I quite agree, experienced Driver it appears. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Very nice catch and good timing Keith! Good to see a 70 with a decent load for a change! Thanks. Ken
+Ken Browne Many thanks Ken, just wish for a few more of them. I miss most these days!
Those traction motors sound like they mean business! Great video.
Proper locos! Thanks.
great shot sir...sound nice too these 70s
Many thanks, it was a good early shot of the Colas machine.
great video great colas are bringing the 70's up the lickey
Thanks, lets hope we get more of these Colas engineers.
An excellent video clip of the new class 70.
Thanks, we've been lucky with seeing them.
Nice one!......Mike
Thanks.
Great vid looking good these Colas 70's
They are, have to see what the 60's are like.
Yh can't wait for the Colas Tugs hope my baby 60033 will be done up! :) Many people thing the 70s are ugly I disagree! they need a better nickname! not ugs! and they sound better than 66s and clag more!!!!
Nicholas Grater 33 isn't one of the ten i'm afraid. I don't mind the 70's, Warthog's seem a popular nickname for them. Thanks.
But why! lol, it is possible that colas might get the remaining of the Tugs isn't it? or are they definitely not going to get the others still at Toton and elsewhere. I agree that Warthogs is a fitting name!
Do you know which Tugs Colas are getting and do you know if any of them are in the Corus Steel livery, But they will obviously put that awful colas livery on em once they've done em up
Good vid
Thanks.
Would have gone for this if I wasn't working :(
We all have the same problem, you can't get everything. To be fair you don't do to bad ;-) Shows the beauty of TH-cam when we all share our stuff. Thanks for the comment and keep up the good work.
Have the class 68s started operating yet you know ?
No.
Was the load to much for them on the incline.??
These 70's belt up the incline, there to good!
MG06ZT sorry, my description may have been mis-leading. i've altered it.
I think it was checked by a signal.
Either the driver wasn't experienced enough or the engine knackered itself out, which shouldn't have been the case being a new loco.
Sorry, your comment makes no sense?
MG06ZT I mean't a brand new loco shouldn't have cut out like that.
Mark Knight Sorry, the train stopped because of the signal. The re-start is after the signal cleared to allow it to continue. The actual loco engine didn't stop. I've adjusted the title to make it clearer.
