Best paint system I've ever used since returning to the hobby wish they had been around 50 years ago and the color range is awesome for WWII armor, that's all I do - 1:35 ..........2 thumbs up get some today!!!

You were on a mission in this video! I love using your paint system! I did have a problem with peeling paint after applying a J’s Works star mask. I believe there were a couple of reasons for that. One was operator error on my part. I applied the primer too far away from the model. Second, it was extremely humid, over 90%, when I shot the paint. I’m using your paints for my model tanks right now and love them. The gloss and flat coats work well, too!

I've gotten the same results with MMP paint & primer. Not only is it tough as nails it's easy to use (just follow the simple directions), no smell and easy water cleanup.

I'm impressed. What air pressure do you use? I thought it required low pressure but evidently not.

We are spraying at a low psi about 12-15 with a .2 you are hearing the air hitting the model so it sounds higher

Best model paints I have ever used....you can even wet sand when the paint is completely dried!

I like MMP paints but I've just encountered an issue with the line when I tried to do some wet sanding. When coming into contact with water, the paint reactivates and can completely remove it with just my fingers, even if dried for days. This doesn't happen with Tamiya but not sure if this is just an MMP thing. I always follow the mixing ratio of 10% thinner and 10% poly and not dusting on paint. That being said, the same doesn't happen with the primers, those stay strong. Can MMP normal paints be wet sanded (outside of primers)?

Tamiya paint is a synthetic acrylic. Mission Models is a pure water based acrylic. We always dry sand with 2500 sanding pads. The primer is a different formula than the primers.

@@jontamkin2560 Thank you for the info, that explains it! I was trying wet sanding for the first time and I could see in the MM FAQ that we could wet sand the primer and clear coats but couldn't find information on the "normal" paint line. Will follow your suggestion! Thanks again!

What air pressure setting spraying were you using? Thx!

I've three models and have had lifting several times. Model was wiped with alcohol, primed with either stynelrez or Vallejo based with mmp and cleared . However at the time I wasn't adding poly. Now I always use poly not sure if that makes a difference but haven't had the issue since. Kow

I've just started using Mission Models paint & I have done everything the manufacturer says in the instructions and still both paint & primer peel when using masking tape. However I found a solution. I was building Tamiya's 1/48 Tiger and I sprayed a shadow coat of Tamiya NATO Black and had no issues with peeling or scratching. I also did this with Tamiya's Fw190 and only the wing edges had a little of the paint come off from handling. I really like Mission Models selection and it looks really good when dry. Apart from the peeling & some spray problems it does OK.

I think the reason we didn't see you drinking coffee in this video, is because you'd already had too much :)

Man Im doing something wrong becasuse the paint on my washed clean models is very fragile. You need to make house calls Jon. I love your paints and Im still working to find the right and magical mix for lets say 5 drops. I hate the Mission model haters because their missing out on great healthy paint...burn your lungs with lacquers. Im sticking with MMP
