Dude.. I loved these until I started sweating, I’m going to return them and pick up the radars I think. Not my first choice but I find the frame is needed up top to lessen the affect of my sweat . Other than them dealing with sweat poorly I loved them, also you can change the lenses easily, TH-cam it. Great video.
Goku Travelling thanks so much! Personally I wouldn’t use them for running. I like smaller glasses when running so still use my Oakley Radars. That being said I’m sure some people could use them and be fine. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more coming soon🙏🏾👍🏾
Very handsome glasses, but i'll never recommend to MTB. The sweat that falls from the helmet on the lens leaves you "blind" in very rough stretches. I tested it with several helmets and this problem is critical in that glasses. Maybe on the road it works well.
@@RonnRider Hey mate. So are you saying you don't recommend them vs the Jawbreakers? I also sweat a lot. I also heard the field of vision on sides and below is worse on flight jacket vs jawbreakers? cheers
Are you referring to another flight jacket frame? If you are, that’s a ruby lens. Oakley and sportrx has stated publicly before that they don’t make a road+polarized lens for various reasons. Maybe it’s only a Canadian release? But even then I can’t find anything online about it or on the Oakley forum. So I still suspect they don’t make it.
Hi, can you tell me something about the Photoctomic lens, at the moment I use Jawbreaker’s with Prizm road and want to replace them, because the sticker that comes on the lens leaves an mark on them. Warranty helps me, but the new one also have the problem. So I will change to the flight jacket photochromic’s. Is there a huge difference while riding? Because I love the contrast from the Prizm’s, but can’t live with the mark on the lens. Thanks Regards Niko
nini engineering the photocromic lense is completely different. They are actually a clear lense that darkens as it gets brighter out. I also have a Prism Road lense bet find I use my photocromic way more. One thing to note though is that the photocromic doesn’t get as tinted as the Prizm and doesn’t pick up as much detail.
Ronn Rider did you have on your Prizm lens the mark from the sticker? You can see them if you tilt the lens in sunlight. Let me know please, because I think every lens with this stickers will be affected.
nini engineering no I haven’t noticed it. I’ve had Jawbreaker Prizms and Flight Jacket Prizm Road Polarised and no problems. Maybe try diluting some eucalyptus oil and try lightly rubbing it off. Remember diluting is REALLY important do you don’t ruin the lense. There might be better methods so just TH-cam it. Good luck🙏🏾🤞🏾
Ronn Rider i think you understand me wrong. I have a damage on the lens from the sticker, that is a issue on every Prizm lens I’ve checked! The Color is changed, I think that comes from the glue...
nini engineering wow that absolutely sucks! I never really noticed it on my Jawbreakers or my Flight Jackets (road prism Polarised). Definitely have no problem with the photocromic. The tint does darken quite substantially in the sun but you definitely don’t get the contrast that you do with the Prisms. However I end up wearing my Photocromic way more than my Prisms. Love them👍🏾
Light Transmission: 69% Light Transmission (Activated): 23% one model could have different tint with various Light Transmission value + bear in mind the color of the lenses will affect you light perception in different type of weather (cloudy or foggy or bright sun light) so if you mostly ride close to equator Light Transmission (Activated): 23% will be not enough, but if you ride in UK this model will be a perfect choice
@@RonnRider I have seen many people say that Oakley photochromic is not suitable for driving. Because the car glass has blocked the ultraviolet rays, the effect is not good. The principle of Oakley photochromic is because the change in ultraviolet intensity causes a change rather than the intensity of light.
You can change the lenses yourself actually, Oakley just uploaded a video th-cam.com/video/GYVD6jqHIio/w-d-xo.html skip to 5.22 in the video, job done, you're welcome
@@RonnRider Im the one thanking for the great videos and the effort that goes into it. Ordered a pair now, also photochromic, so i'm exited to try them out myself. Keep the rubber side down :)
Nice one buddy! You’re absolutely going to love them. Photocromic is absolutely the right choice. I have two pairs one of which are Road Prism Polarised and I where my photocromic about 90% of the time. They’re so diverse...Enjoy👍🏾

To reduce sweet dropping cycling caps helps a lot. Or a head band.

BOo MonSter I hear ya man. I’ve stuck with them and they’re not too bad, but a frame would definitely help that.
@@RonnRider But i guess when holding down in the drops, it´s really preferable to have no upper frame arc!?
Great review. I hesitate if would be good for running 🏃? What do you think?

Joao Paulo Miranda yep! I’ve recently discovered this. Might need to try the Radars

does sweat collect on them?
How was the lens holding up bruh? Does it peels off?
Hey man, nice review. Quick question, do you know if they come in different sizes ? Oakley’s website doesn’t have much information about it (weird).
Nice video man! really helped a lot.
I think they don't make a road prizm polarized?
jojojaykay yep they do. I have them. The frame is black with red arms. Takes a bit of getting use to but now I love them

Are they dark enough? It seems to me that they won't tint that much
Julio Rodriguez they definitely are not as dark as normal sunnies but they do more than enough to take the edge off.

Is Oakley photochromic suitable for driving?
Hello Max yeah I use them when I drive home after a ride. They don’t tint as much as a normal tinted pair but they tint enough
