It was something beautiful when I realized that the sequence breaks were fully expected by them. The secret kraid animation if you have early bombs was amazing
BSJs were big in Prime 2 interesting they brought it back but the one thing not mentioned is that performing this properly also requires that specific camera angle otherwise you won't get the instant unmorph
@BashPrime Do you think rando tourneys with remastered will be a thing or will you guys stick to the gamecube version? Edit: Though ig the better question to ask is what the odds are a rando of this will be made?
@@gokublack8342 There is a lot of work to be done but I think remastered rando will come eventually to Randovania As for tourneys, no idea. I think a lot of people will prefer gamecube because overall its sequence breaks are a lot more effective than in remastered
I just managed to do it! I found it much easier to do a triple bomb jump and doing a spring ball to hit both bombs. Have your fingers resting on x and b. Youre almost going to press both buttons at the same time but a slight delay. This is much much easier than the rock method
Always fun to sequence break these games, but I really want to see if it's possible to get Space Jump immediately after arriving on Tallon IV like in the original Gamecube version?
it depends like if doing IBBF (Ice beam before Flaaghra) and way early Plasma beam with spring/2BSJ, many sequence breaks, which I HOPE they dont patch, are like 80% possible
It would've been nice if I knew about this a whole lot sooner! But it does look complicated to pull off though. Getting certain missile expansions early is much easier. There's a least one that's a little tricky but it's easier to pull off than ESJ and BSJ. You can tell that the devs really didn't want you getting any of major power ups and upgrades early. But for some of the minor stuff like missile expansions, they didn't really give a shit. *Edit:* After trying to do the BSJ in the remaster, I can confirm that it does not work. It's just not possible! I was trying when I already the Space Jump Boots because I was curious to see if the BSJ actually works at all. I did exactly as said and it does not work!
I can confirm you can pull it off. I made it to the edge of the cliff I was so excited that when I moved to the right I ended up falling back down. It took me an hour to get there. Fuck that those I just ended up getting boost ball to the boots. Idk how speed runners can do this every day.
@@FusionKush Yeah, it's doable, but it requires an insane amount of luck to just suddenly manage to get the timing for your every move just right. It's so hard that it's literally impossible to repeat the same trick again and again so easily without some kind of cheating tool. Speedrunners make these tricks look so easy by cheating, but they just won't admit it because they know that if people knew, it'd make them look sus, so they risk making themselves look even more sus by denying it. I even found visuals that someone shared, where it literally showed a player out of bounds by doing one these ridiculous tricks, and it clearly shows that it's been done on a PC. Yes, their tricks are doable, but ain't nobody got time to waste like hours to a day or more, messing around trying to do just one trick that they made look so easy. There people like this in the Zelda community too. I remember there was this one trick to get the Master Sword early in Twilight Princess that I would have so much trouble with in the past. But despite the fact that I can confirm that that trick is doable, it so hard and annoying to pull off, even though people on youtube made it look so easy. An even better example is the Door of Time skip in Ocarina of Time. It took so much of my time to finally pull it off, or to realize later that getting back through time when I need to in order to progress is literally next to impossible. And to this day, I also still don't understand how anybody manages to pull off those crazy tricks to get passed that gate in Gerudo Valley as Young Link. Whenever I try, I always fail. I think I recall a time where I did manage to pull it off, that was like one time, and these tricks are too hard to pull off a second time, especially as easily as these speedrunner jokers make it look. So, yeah, these speedrunner jokers sus as hell and not worth our time and energy! It's better to just play the game and mostly only do the sequence break tricks that actually can be pulled off multiple times with ease. Like getting a expansion to something earlier than intended or reaching a dungeon early. Stuff like that is much more fun than torturing yourself trying to do something that may or may not end up getting you soft locked. Nobody wants to get soft locked by doing a trick that took hours to finally pull off. Better to just play the game and have fun than to ruin the experience by wasting so much trying to do something so difficult that even managing to pull off ends up not even being worth it in the end anyways because getting soft locked is not fun.
A question. I managed to get up the hill, but a couple of times I got up, Samus ended up sliding down instead of where I need her to jump past that barrier. Could you explain what that could be?
U need to walk up and right very slowly till u hit a spot where it doesn’t let u walk anymore, once ur there jump and hold foward. Check out my pinned comment for a more in depth video
You speedrunners have problems, man. I'd rather not spend hours trying to pull of a TAS move. Unfortunately I don't have a Switch to try it as well. Heck, I got the short distance Shinespark trick in Super only once.
@@Broly_TheMetroidFan maybe combat dash is not what I mean, I know u can dash while holding Down the Aim button but I’m talking about when u let go of the aim button mid dash and it sends u flying with that momentum, everytime I tried in my playthrough it’ll cut me off mid air
@@JkMaNz Ah, I see. Yes, they did sadly remove that. I discovered that when I was attempting to get the space jump boots early. I was using the Wii strategy.
Infinite speed seemingly doesnt work anymore. using a cheat I was able to clip into a previously loaded room, which in the old game would cause your morph ball to get stuck in collision. but it seems even unloaded rooms collision maps are still being calculated properly with morph ball sadly.
Also another thing. The removal of ether/aether might be what fixed that partially. But even if you could get stuck they probably fixed the overflow bug on the float anyways. However I hear word that modders are working on patching in scan dashing and fixing L movement. And more to come most likely, soon enough we will be able to enjoy randomizers on the go. Looking at the files every map is it's own object which hopefully makes the randomizer easier to develop. And we might even get actual rom hacks finally.
How are you coming out of morph ball without it loading the camera angle of the screen panning back into the helmet?... I'm starting to think it's fake man.
@Mitchell Emahiser It is actually possible. When you unmorph instantly, the game takes a couple of frames to realize that you're airborne. This trick has been known since the original release on the GameCube and it's been preserved in the remaster.
@@DEA_emahiser There's no "hacking" involved. It's just an unintended interaction of the existing game mechanics that can be triggered during normal gameplay.
