No no no. The round-headed Dalek Emperor of the comics and the round-headed Dalek Emperor of TLV are canonically *different* Daleks! But the latter is cosplaying the former.
@@crimsondynamo615 That's literally - I'm not joshing/making it up! That's the lore! Look up "The Restoration Empire (short story)" on Tardis Wiki. The TLV Emperor is a post-Remembrance version who's trying to bring back the golden age of the Daleks, and so consciously imitates the classic, retro original Emperor.
I went to a convention in 2015 and asked Nick Briggs about the Eternal Dalek, and he said his power was delaying flights so people have to wait an eternity for their flight.
Don't forget that webcast where the Doctor Who fan in 2020 calls the Third Doctor at UNIT. He knew COVID was coming. (Plus we have official audio of the Third Doctor saying "ah yes, COVID-19" which I find hilarious. p.s. don't forget about where Jack kept his gun.
A fan story told that the yellow eternal was a case full of Progenitor devices that he used to create more daleks and that one of his devices was given to Caan to go back in time to give the daleks the device to paradoxically conceive their own existence
My interpretation of the doctors doctorate is that he studied at gallifray didn't finish his study's sorta transfered over to glassco using the pychic paper to get in. Finished at glassco however since his degree was from 1888 he used the sonic screwdriver to diagnose people and then after a while thru using the sonic screwdriver he started to understand how to spot injuries on his own without it but he still has too rely on his sonic screwdriver when he is unsure of the situation.
Technically the 12th doctor never said that Pudsey the Bear was an intergalactic terror threat cause he'd never heard of him. The intergalactic terror threats were all the other evil aliens he knew who just happened to also be called Pudsey and also had spotty eyepatches. I assume you got this wrong because someone vandalized Pudsey's tardis wiki page, as I know you would never knowingly say something untrue except for that one time you did.
Also technically that "full circle" thing was something the First Doctor mentioned in the very first Dalek story, implying the Daleks would eventually turn back into humanoid form, sort of implying that was what happened to the Thals.
When I was a kid I wrote a story that the Eternal Dalek was actually Bad Wolf, like all that yellow stuff that's him cos he merged with the time Vortex and made himself incorpreal and went back in time to create his own existence. It helped caan in the time war, killed davros, all that. Then he put himsrlf inside like a planrt-sozed dalek, in the eyestalk. Cos the mid-section is for strategsist and the bumpy bits are all dalek saucers waiting to be deployed and the rubber bottom is scientist's littl lair. Honestly, make that guy showrunner. MAKE CHILDREN SHOWRUNNER
All these Daleks remind me of the time the Daleks flooded an alternate future earth with Dalek merchandise so they could enact their master plan of dominating the world by downloading themselves through space WiFi into the toys. The monthly range just keeps on giving.
Speaking of Dalek variants, the Hayakawa Daleks are my favorite. (Spelling might be off). They are not canon at all, but the story behind them is rather interesting in my opinion. In the 80's, several Doctor Who novelizations were translated into Japanese, and given illustrations; one of which being The Daleks. No one knows if the person who drew them had no references besides what was given from the text and was unfamiliar with the show, or just took artistic liberties. The result is something wildly different from a Dalek, and yet you can see the familiar traits present. Doesn't help they look bizarrely cute for murderous death machines.
3:20 Looks more to me he was using the sonic as a torch here. Normally when they use the sonic for taking a reading, they check some readout (that the audience never sees) located just below the head of the sonic. Here, he just talks as he scans, making it seem more like he's using it as a torch.
Either I dreamed a different universe where you said that you rly wanted to work this joke about Dalek horoscopes into an episode or it actually happened, but I genuinely just got excited you included it. I don't know if I want to know. I'm happy about it either way.
It was a little disappointing, given the name and how Tennant delivers the line. That it didn't amount to something more ...impressive. I was expecting a Dalek-based Eldritch Horror. It wasn't.
Sure it is! I love Rudden's handling of it. Go too abstract and you forget to have an actual story. It'll just end up as cosmic poetry like RTD's short story
I've long been curious where the Seventh Doctor got another sonic screwdriver. The Wiki just kinda shrugs and offers multiple options, including it was a spare that had rolled under the desk for centuries, it came from a dead Third Doctor in an alternate timeline, and so on. And then The Ultimate Adventure throws a further wrench into things by depicting the Sixth Doctor with one, suggesting they obtained one even earlier.
@@mistermiles3271 Presumably, and that's what I assumed when I first got to the TV Movie. But it wouldn't be the DW expanded media if it didn't massively overcomplicate a simple question.
Billy-Home will likely get a kick learning that his take on a "spider" Dalek was featured in this video. He's a long time digital modeler and created several meshes that are still being used by the Poser and DAZ render communities. He was also an integral part of the Who3D group, an early attempt (during the 2000s) to recreate lost footage using digital modeling and animation tools.

Well as you know there was that time the Doctor Who NFT game (sadly a thing) clearly tried to copy the wiki and botched it, saying they were the same
