I've been around the market long enough to know that these ups and downs can still prove to be highly beneficial, time and again I've seen people use these windows of opportunities to make millions and set up for retirement, I just don't know how they did it.

A flat tax is a regressive tax. 10% of a billion dollar income is a drop in the bucket the person wouldn’t even notice, but 10% of a $40k income is the difference between getting medical care or starving in order to save enough to pay the rent. Flat tax is one of the dumbest ideas on Earth, and would absolutely screw over the poor & middle class, which is something a selfish wealthy nutter like Steve Forbes would be just fine with.
The inflation issue did not really surface until U.S. energy production came under attack after the current administration came to power. That made transportation of goods more expensive forcing the cost of raw materials to finished goods go up. The president of the World Bank recently stated high energy prices are the base cause of inflation not a thriving economy. Mr. Forbes is correct that the current administration and the federal bank are going in the wrong direction.
