Great vid. I think falling to the left is a huge problem too. I do it. Even Tsitsipas does it a lot

Wellcome back. I missed the best instructor and began to wonder. Again, by far the best video on serve in the net (pun intended).

I’ve been looking at lots of serving videos lately, and whilst most have similar content and ideas, this one is the most elegant and efficient in coalescing all those ideas…..
    👏👏👏👏

Wow this is the very best technical serve video I have ever seen! What a great list I have literally watch hundreds of You tube serve videos and so many mistakes you have highlighted is what I do and partly thats due to other you-tubers bad advice for example, leading with the elbow too early I see a lot. The only other mistake I can think of is not keeping my back foot parallel to the baseline when bringing it in to the front foot as I use a pin point stance. The problem here is I rotate my body too early by doing this losing all that rotation power I could have used when pushing off.
You sort of raised this with the platform stance by having the feet next to each other so no rotation happens at all.

I love it. You give me a different point of view of the rocket drop. This will help me for more consistent technik. I follow 5-6 on-line trainer in the last 3 years and I practice weekly 1-2 hours serving also. I still find new information what helps me. This video is perfect at 4-4.5 level. I would like to put only one more thing, about the the ball observation with head movement.

I was going up with the elbow to early. That does make for a sore shoulder and no control. Thanks

For sure, focus on that part then, keep recording it and have the patience in the process of working on it.

Just what I needed after your other serve videos this goes into more detail as my friend was telling me about the take back and drop. Lots more practice needed your other tips on pronation and 7 to 2 and toss to the left worked well. Brilliant thanks.

Thanks for those tips. I just tried today the change on my wrist (turning a bit more inward) from your other video that I only just discovered. It felt strange initially as I use to have a hammer grip. I managed a few good balls but I think my mistake was on my toss (too much to the right). Will practice again and toss more in front or a bit more to the left. Hope I get more winning serves with your tips 💪😀

Great putting so many mistakes and "Right Way"s all together. Most of us are likely guilty of at least one.

The second problem is in fact related to the first one ; bad grip. Many pros players have a raquet drop leading with the strings and not the edge, Federer for instance. Discussed here : th-cam.com/video/8SKivhTenL0/w-d-xo.html

I struggle a lot with mistake 14. I have a continental grip but my wrist opens up as I going up to the ball. I intend to lead with the edge of the racquet, but it never works out that way. Any suggestion with how I can train my wrist not to open up?

Do it around 50 % speed and from the T line and hold the rocket at the top of the handle and put your pointer finger on the Y shape. Step by step go forward to the base line and the end of the rocket handle.

I zamisli - ti i Nikola Aracic (intuitive tennis) u finalu - ma platio bi zlatom da vidim to - ma kakav Nole - Alcaraz, vec su mi dosadili (salim se of course)...Ok, moje je pitanje je slijedece - do you think match against Nik would be a contest or not really? (i like him, and he is great but sometimes he comes across little bit too cocky) Regards, Goran Dragosavac
