14:00 Funny enough Devin Vassell is the most expensive contract the San Antonio Spurs have ever paid a player. More than Tim Duncan or David Robinson lol 😂
But to your point, yes at this point NILs need school appointed GMs to protect the reputation and the brand of the school.

Portal and NIL killed college sports!! Players only care about the money.

Good point re: if they as an example went out bought an expensive automobile based on a promise of 250k then they have argument they suffered harm . I don’t pretend to understand the intricacies of NIL but something needs to be done to provide some rules , guidelines , limits on what can be give or promised . The players just bounce from team to team . Primo Spears is on his 4th team at least and they are likely promised money by each school . Sad state of college athletics.

The UNC linebacker is a good get because we can’t have a team full of one year guys. A guy with 3 years left at a key position is worth the risk especially with more scholarships

If he promised that $$$, then he needs to pay and fsu oughta fire him immediately.
If he didn't, then he has nothing to worry about. Problem is this isnt a 1 or 2 person thing. Its 6 people..all with the same argument. Ugh oh!.

All u people who thought players should get payed on top of their scholarships have yourselves to blame for today’s mess. Now the kids run the sport. Collegiate sports has been ruined, and is now getting closer to not being watchable. Take a bow u people, look what u have done.

Sure keep abusing the youth without proper compensation...the workforce isn't there for them when and if these players graduate...while other sports, faculty, staff, EVERYONE is eating or either entertained off of the BACKS of the PLAYERS 😂...why don't you go to work in exchange for information huh?

    • @marksherman1887

We have the NCAA to blame for not nipping this in the bud 20 years ago and "we people"
never decided that kids should get additional compensation. That was the courts and it was the right decision. The way it has been administered is a Sh_t show.

Did he say "I'll get you $250,000" or " I will see if I can get you $250,000" BIg difference. Valuable lesson for kids and does not FSU's NIL 'training' address the 'contract' issues adivse players to get everything you want IN WRITING. Also something stinks if it goes back to April 2023 and before the 2023 no money changed hands. Best to wait until 'truth' comes out and exactly what can or cannot be proved.
Please don't play the ' they're only kids." card. If you want to get paid like an adult, be responsible like an adult.

Question… With the whole Ham situation, wouldn’t that be more so the collective failing to make good on the promises rather than Coach Ham?
*Edit.. so the opposing lawyer is stating that this lawsuit is because the promises that Ham made but failed to come through on.

Give me Lavallee over Trent. Look past the numbers on MWT and watch the Boise, AppSt & Ole Miss film from ‘24. That’s the competition we’ll similarly face or at least want to and I wasn’t impressed with his box play, ability to take on blocks & spatial awareness.

It’s true. What others have said here. College football and sports is pretty much over.
They are paid employees. They can come and go as they want. No allegiance. Except the money.
The student athlete charade is over.
More and more we’re going to see college athletes boo’d . Because they aren’t students anymore… They are paid employees. And they get what they wanted. And that comes along with it.
I don’t begrudge the players for doing this.
But it’s time to say goodbye to college athletes and move it out of FSU.
Other countries don’t even do anything like this. No sports on campus. Probably the better model. Time to look for alternatives to maintaining relationships and the university.
Less sports, more other choices. Seminars. Continuing education. Travel programs.
    EXIT STRATEGY TIME.
