Very good video, however a couple corrections: 14:29 The Kelermorph and other agents do NOT get this benefit from the leader. The leader's ability can only affect NEOPHYTE operatives. 17:41 The agents can NOT perform the "Mark For Assassination" mission action, only NEOPHYTE operatives can. Meaning that you have to have a regular unit first apply the mark within 3 of an enemy. Makes it even more difficult to use. Would love to see a battle report with Wyrmblade vs. Hierotech Circle :D
Absolutely love Wyrmblade! One of the more unique and thematic teams we have. I wish GW could revisit some of the White Dwarf teams and give them a touch up/generally update them. Maybe a new cult agent would be cool.
Great video! Quick note: the leader's free ploy only works on Neophytes, so unfortunately the cult agents can't take advantage. Super excited to see a similar video for Hierotek!
Been running these for the last few months initially struggling at first but learning every game now I'm starting to pick up some wins.really fun team to play great vid.
The locus seems really finicky but it's such a cool concept of a dude leaping from cover, cutting down a krieg watchmaster then charging his right hand man to kill him and leaping on another all in one fell swoop. Though don't much care for the model would probably make my own with some general grievous inspiration
Well polished review friend. As a wyrmblade player my self, ive found that the icon bearers action ability is pretty mid and can also open yourself to a blast attack if not used correctly. But For loot missions i will often include him and he also can be quite useful for a number of infiltrate tac ops. If im running seek and destroy, the GA2 might matter more to take key targets off the board. For the sniper it can not be overstated how pushed its become with the improved forify scouting option. If you create an addendum to this video, like if there is balance to the wyrmblade, id like to see you go more into the tac ops that are viable for them and when to select infiltrate vs seek and destroy depending on mission and matchup(loot vs secure and agressive vs midrange opponents as a for instance). Also its good to cover the quirk that wyrmblade have with almost never taking the second scouting option as well as going more into depth with the modified playstyle that comes with close quarters.
Fantastic overview of the Wyrmblade! Much appreciated. Maybe consider displaying the relevant parts of an operative's datacard, when going over each unit. Should make it a bit easier to follow along? I'd love to see a similar treatment for Hunter Clade.
ya. i'm always semi-worried about showing all the info for something like this since that always feels like an avenue for GW to just drop the "nope-hammer" on me, but looking around that doesn't seem to happen much. Might just go all in on it.
The cult penknife is good if you are trying to score Implant. Writhing Ingress can be used in ITD on barricades. You can put the barricades horizontally to block off narrow corridors, then ignore them yourself
For Into the Dark you can still get some use out of Writing Ingress to surprise opponents when your guys can suddenly run straight through a barricade. I've used that to get Locus charges and grenade launcher flank attacks off that the other team thought they were safe from.
You've made a small mistake in your Combos section: the Neophyte Leader can only use his free Coiled Serpent or Slink into Darkness on a NEOPHYTE operative that is visible, which the agents are not. Although for the Kelermorph, it's easily worth the CP to use Coiled Serpent - turning 2 normal hits into crits automatically with rending is huge. I'll often use the free Coiled Serpent on a Seismic Cannon, since the hit->crit will apply to every attack made with his Seismic Cannon's Blast property, in the same way that Cult Ambush applies to every such attack. If your enemy makes the mistake of grouping his men tightly, you can dish out an easy -1APL to multiple guys. On a related note, a favorite combo of mine is to run the Neophyte Leader with Bolt Pistol and Power Pick, the latter for its rending property. I'll use the free Coiled Serpent on the Leader himself, and temporarily turn him into a melee powerhouse. Because of the damage he'll naturally take in return, I'll often save this ploy for TP 3 or 4, and use this rushdown to score Secure Hostage, taking my Leader off the field safely. Doing so also nicely prevents Headhunter from being scored, since the Leader is never incapacitated.
I keep coming back to this video because of how well done and informative it is. Great work on the editing, I know it must take you a long time to do these type of videos. Me and everyone else in this comment section are eagerly awaiting the next faction focus from you whatever team it may be.
Hopefully by then I won't have as many errors. Usually with first attempts at videos like this it always goes south. Definitely looking in the doing more going forward.
I'd actually recommend knives over talismans. Knives help you score implant, and do SOMETHING against melee teams. Cult talismans rarely matter from my experience.
And thats fine. Most of my core group play ranged. That's why a lot of this comes down to experience and goals. Also I rarely run implant for tac. Having to do it to 3 units just feels like too much most of the time. Might try it out though in the future against my buddies Corsairs.
Thank you for this, just finished building my wyrmblade kill team, a shame that a built a seismic cannon not a heavy stubber Maybe if I would have seen your video just a bit earlier... Great video though! Every kelermorph deserves a cowboy hat🤠
The seismic can still f up some guardsmen, so not a complete loss. But ya, depending on where you play it might mostly be elite teams and the loss of the stubber might be felt. May the shadows provide victory.
@@KimerexProjekt that's fair, I guess my point is you aren't going to kill am elite with a stubber or seismic (unless within 6 of a seismic), so you might as well get some stun APL modifiers

Yeah I'm going to get an addendum up. Hopefully by the end of the day. If not, my mind will slowly destroy me 😬

Don't forget to check the addendum short. Got a couple things wrong here.
Whoo! My main team! Others have requested it, but I’d LOVE to see you have that aforementioned “real fun” with these guys in a bat rep.
Great stuff. Watching this because I'm probably going to reskin Wyrmblade rules for my Rebel Grot team :)

These videos are eeeexcellent. Please keep them coming, the Kill team community is lacking this sort of type of video for players to learn factions
Fully agree
Your video is fantastic!. Love this format!
I have been digging these deep dives ... Please keep em coming. Great work
Great video, hope to see a similar one for hierotek circle :)

Good overview! Love the faction's lore and overall theme. I'm just starting to main this team.
A little bit out of date now, but still AMAZING as a tutorial!!!

I keep hearing this. Might have to try it in the next battle report. I usually don't pull from the infiltration list

I just wish there was more random terrain in critical ops CQ. Empty rooms makes me sad.
@@KimerexProjekt Yeah, a few missions with open rooms that hold some of the thematic terrain would be cool.

yep. went over that mistake in the pinned comment. I try to keep those up for missed parts. :D
This is awesome
would like to see Deathguard or legionary faction focus!
Definitely on the list. Might belt through this style of video for a few months since my usual crew is sick. No time to record battle reports.
Question about duelist ability. It can parry one enemy attack before real fight even if he is attacker?
Yes
@@KimerexProjekt damn thats pretty strong then… why I didnt read it right

Seismic cannon is better into elite teams, typically you only want the stubber into 7 wound teams
@@sauceman3462 I mean historically i've done more work with a stubber than the seismic into them. But thats just rolls, really.

Nice upload mate. This is my favorite team although I haven't played many teams
