I have more than a few planars (Artti T10, MP145..Jan2024 version...setup w/rose-gold nozzle filters, Letshuoer S12, and KZ PR1_hifi). Although I would give a slight edge to the MP145's, the T10's are my second close favorite and superior on price/performance. They are also extremely comfortable...practically weightless in the ear. Easy to drive...scalable with power...wonderfully tuned...the T10's are a killer IEM. I think they are superior to my venerable S12's and much better than the PR1's. The "planar" timbre is not nearly as noticeable as on the S12...in fact...I think the tuning on the T10 has some of the attributes of a fine DD driven IEM. They are an exceptional IEM at the price point...I suppose my no.1 choice under $90.
The color of the shell is not my favorite...but the overall design and fitment are superb.
I use them most often with BT earhooks (KZ AZ20 or KZAZ09 Pro). Else on cable paired to my Muse M4 or BTR5.

I like the brevity of Vortex Reviews. Not bad. After a few budget DD's, from KZ, bought this just to try and see what Planar Magnetic was all about, and also to try out a Non KZ/CCA IEM. Not cheap, definitely not budget, for IEMs, but after 2 days of listening and adjusting to this. Thoughts
    1. Sound is very dependent on getting a superb seal. Opinions will vary depending on seal. Wish tips came with more variety in size. It was very hard to determine which of the tips that was best for me, none was ideal, either too big(and uncomfortable) or too small. Ended up using tips from the KZ ZVX - the black non foam ones, to get the best fit on the T10. Glad that Vortex Reviews picked up on the rather picky unforgiving pairing unless you get the tips to seal 100%.
    2. Then with a good seal, it sounded really amazing, extremely revealing, and critical, not flattering in any way. The bass will only be apparent when there is bass in the audio/music. Very transparent, very very transparent. Crystal clear. Best headphone I ever heard. Having heard this, this would be the entry level I would recommend for anyone who wants a critical listening tool.
    3. Non fatiguing.
I think Vortex Reviews, may be someone who is a bit too sensitive to treble. For me I did not think so, It was as revealing of whatever treble was in the track. For me it was 100% perfect, and maybe a bit too bassy, so I tucked in the bass a little bit with EQ. So for me, definitely ok.

I love the shape/fit of the T10, it fits naturally onto my ears and I've paired them Sanchai balance eartips, it's probably the most comfortable iems I've ever owned, I feel like getting Letshuoer D13 due to similarities in shape but with a better material and just standard DD.

I have the OG KZ PR2 (before they botched the treble) and Stellaris to which I EQ the treble down.
You think the T10 is better in sound/technicallities or just as a whole package?
After seeing your S08 review I was considering it because I saw it for $70 on sale.

@@arthuu5960 Just spent 30min ABing the dongles I mentioned with the T10s (KBear 07 tips)
Listened to Eminem's "Brave New Dance" and turned up the volume really high. Taking note of what part of the song made me turn it down first.
On the Grave Audio CX31993, the vocals felt piercing even at my normal listening volume (pretty high). Turning it up further is immediate pain.
On the ODO, I could take it higher, until both vocals and treble sound too loud. But much easier to gauge without immediate pain like the CX.
On the Onix ($100ish, it's similar to the ODO tbh. maybe more stage? smoother bass? I would very much doubt my ability to blind test between them confidently. but I would notice the CX brightness/sharpness 100% of the time is my bet if I did happen to do that.
My rec is to get the ODO if you have the 3.5mm cable. if you took my Onix and BTR7 away rn and left me with the ODO, I would be happy still for music+gaming tbh. If you have a 4.4mm cable though and a couple of nice IEMs get Onix with the 4.4mm output. this is all considering Windows 11 PC. for phones/car just get the ODO and run. Oh and EQ is always an option ofc. also T10s can subjectively be too bright even with the warmest DAC (DAC did make the difference for me though). it's all a matter of taste, ear anatomy, hearing loss, genres, etc...
Would like to know your own impression in case you pull the trigger on something. Cheers!

    • @Wistner
      @Wistner 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@arthuu5960 I AB tested all the dacs I mentioned with the T10s. Just to make sure I'm accurate. And for my ears. The CX31993 (Grave Audio) has noticeably more forward vocals. to the point it gets painful at my normal jamming volume on the T10s. The ODO, ONIX Alpha, and BTR7 on the other hand, are much more balanced IMO. The treble and mids feel too loud BEFORE I feel any pain if that makes sense. As in I can feel the whole range getting louder without the vocals jumping out at me and stabbing my eardrum.
Between those three DACs (ODO, ONIX, BTR7) I'd say the difference is minimal for me. Slightly fuller bass and stage on the Onix ($100) and BTR7 ($160). But the difference Is so minimal that I would honestly be happy with the VE ODO ($5) if you took the others away.
My rec is to change tips to foams or narrower bore and see if that works. If not, try EQ, if that doesn't appeal to you and you're curious on how a DAC can change sound. Get the VE ODO. it's cheap enough that you won't have any buyers regret hopefully. It's enough for the T10s IMO. If you get more pricy IEMs tho the ONYX is 10/10 for me, however it has a few issues that you need to research before hand (Head-fi thread).
