This arrangement was so much fun to play! A lot of notes with a lot of practice, but a lot of fun nonetheless! The marimba and vibraphone represent the dueling shamisen, this time the duel being between wooden and metal mallet instruments. Add a bit of taiko drumming (bass drum and floor tom) and this is possibly the most "percussive" percussion ensemble cover I've ever done!

WOW this might be my favorite video from you yet! (No AC bias whatsoever hehe) but yes I really liked the taiko drum parts and the blazing mallet lines. Mallet layering is tough to arrange since it can still sound thin but you really took advantage of range and depth here. Amazing job!
Ahhh thank you so much!! (I think you're allowed to have some AC bias, I don't see the problem lol) I'd originally only planned the two bass drum parts, but you can never have enough drums in taiko drumming so I added the two tom parts in and it was perfect! Glad you liked the mallet layering; I use as much of that 4 octave marimba as I can!

I played way too much New Leaf back in the day but I dont remember this one at all hahaha
Thank you! New Leaf was my first AC game and I have sooo many good memories from it. Haha there are a bunch of K.K. Slider songs, it's easy to miss one! (especially when you don't look at any song lists like I did for ACNL)

You’ve absolutely outdone yourself on this one V-Ron! The editing really stuck out to me with how you highlighted the instruments playing at one point. And I loved the middle section focusing on the taiko drum around all the melodic stuff - it added such a great contrast to the tune! I agree with Nico - I think the mix with all the mallets sounded phenomenal here as well. This is one of my favorite KK tracks in Animal Crossing so I was already hyped going into it :-)
