You got to wonder, has there ever been another person who has taught music to more people than Marty? Think about it. The sheer number. Even after he’s retired from teaching his videos will live on for a very long time. Kinda incredible when you think about it
I have your solo bundle and just bought your Intermediate Foundations course. You’ve taken my playing to a great level. I’m going to be sitting in with some friends cover band in a couple of weeks. It will be my first time playing in front of a crowd. Thanks Marty!!
Hey brother Marty, this is an awesome video. Love it easy to follow along no pressure little challenging but doable Marty you’re not going to believe this, but I just came home from Guitar Center with a brand new Gibson, Les Paul standard go top with P90 pick ups and I can’t put this beauty down. My back is hurting from pain and playing and playing watching your videos and learning and learning and learning Can’t thank you enough. God bless you, brother.
That gave me a good laugh too. The thing I was once told about being ready to play something is to practice it so many times that you don't ever want to play it again and then you're ready.
this is pretty close to the opening lick in johnny b goode(which i also learned from marty) always learning and improving all thanks to Marty. your the man marty keep doing your thing
Hey Marty, if you'd like to darken that fretboard it's as easy as using a few drops of "Old English" for dark woods. I just did that for my "Ibanez" it turned out lovely. It's made for doing that. It makes that light color dark and warm. It doesn't stain the binding or color the inlays either. Just rub it in and wipe it off. No greasy or sticky shit left behind at all. But don't use it on your Maple Fretboards. However, it does an amazing job with "Rosewood, Pau Ferro, Indian Laurel, and Purple Heart. Thanks for your lessons. Peace.. Joe Oh, and by the way that style of hat looks really good on you. You could also find some kickass hat bands to go around one of them for a different and personalized look. But it looks awesome like it is too.
Thanks Marty. I really like your approach you have opened my eyes to a lot through the years. Been a student of yours for years !! I'm wondering whats the best way to learn chicken picking do you have lesson for that ? thanks again.
MARTY, listen to the whole album of axis bold as love because hendrix would use Dom7sus2 or 6/9 chords which you should make a lesson about 6/9 chords that hendrix used. He used the major pentatonic scale to play over these 6/9 chords
Marty I need a favour for you my friend lots of native like me would love for you to teach Ernest Monias either I hear you knocking or if I wanted you girl their great songs, easy too🤘🎸 been rocking with you for awhile🍻
Thats really awesome and a great groove - but what is the counting? Which beat does each note in the riff come on? Is one octave per bar or two octaves per bar? I'm a bit dumb so I cant easily work it out. Thanks!
Awesome video! What amp are you using? Sounds amazing. I noticed in the description you mention a boss katana, but not sure if that’s what you’re using.
Another awesome tutorial So the video is based on e blues scale starting on 12th fret High E. Can this shape be used for other Scales, say A blues scale?

How did it go???
@@BudsTokeryit went great!!
If I could post it here I would.
Fair play to you !! Wish you luck in your future brother :)
Breaking it down so that even I can do it? GLORIOUS!!!
The low end frequencies sound really good. You've got it all dialed in nicely.
Thanks Marty! A great way to mix things up and get out of my pentatonic box that I've been "stuck" in for a while.
Thanks!
This is kick ass lesson! It's very straight forward, easy to pick up and riff off of, and just fun to play. Thanks Marty!

Can anyone recommend a good set of guitar strings to play blues for electric guitar? Maybe a good set for acoustic as well?
What are your settings on the boss katana for blues ?
Another awesome tutorial So the video is based on e blues scale starting on 12th fret High E. Can this shape be used for other Scales, say A blues scale?
Awesome
Where do I find the basic blues chord that is on the loop?
Look on TH-cam. Ive found some basic guitar loops to solo over. Have fun! I love to do that too!
