@@3ofSpadeswell, he has a point. as early as the first game it's established that phone guy was killed by the animatronics, not being put on death row and that the murders were commited by one person, as seen in the FNAF 1 newspaper clippings. There's never any hints of phone guy being an accomplice aside from him pushing aside the gruesome bits of the job, even then he's likely only brushing it off to make sure you don't quit. There is also no mention of the player character ever dying in the series (aside from sister location) or even evidence that you play as phone guy in FNAF 1. In fact, the only "proof" that does exist is phone guy saying that a golden suit was used in FNAF 2, and golden freddy appears in the first game. Even them it's shown that the yellow suit he was talking about was the spring bonnie costume, the one used to lure the kids away. I'm genuinely curious to see your sources to prove some of these conclusions you thought of, reading that paragraph was one hell of a fever dream. @SuperbConnor64 You are found dead the next day, collateral damage. Then in the first game, it's likely that the guy on the phone was caught and put on death row. The pizzeria of the first game being this surreal monotony that has no escape, which is what the character in the second game saw as well in between nights. The guy on the phone panicked, and it cost him and his new employee their lives. So you can imagine when the games after 2 abandoned this cool story, I stopped caring. The ties to real life murders were extremely scary, but once the kids started watching such a violent game series and making Scott a bunch of money, he had to sell out to them for cash seeing how majority rules, and cash is king. To his credit, he didn't hide his contempt with selling out in 3, being all about recycling stupid lore for dumb kids. No wonder that guy was so upset with every new game, his vision was ruined by Little Timmy. Just like the box from FNAF 4, the answers to the series changed over the years as Scott's life did. My favorite answers were in the first two games. It was so interesting and surreal. As if you could feel a monster breathing on your neck or had everything in your house replaced with an exact duplicate in the first game, this subtle terror. Then the second, which was a complete dread. Nowhere to run, and surrounded from all sides. Dead if you ran, doomed to suffer in the purgatory of the first game if you stayed.

It's confirmed that William Afton was working the day shift during fnaf 2 (seen in the SAVETHEM minigame) and is the other employee phone guy is talking about William used his position of the day shift to kill even more kids This is why the spare yellow suit went missing and why Phone Guy seems to be nervous while talking about the other employee and doesn't mention why he was fired/left. William was fired upon Henry uncovering what he planned to do with the sister location. William took it upon himself to kill Henry’s daughter when the first Freddy Fazbear’s pizza restaurant was in chain. Charlie (Henry’s daughter) ended up being the one haunting the Puppet. William was still experimenting with the idea of remnant and came to the new establishment on several occasions. However the puppet put the souls of the children where they were stuffed (the old animatronics) and decided that, to protect more children, she would make it so that the Toy Animatronics were hostile to those who wore what William was weraring (the nightwatch guard’s outfit) No, 5 more children were NOT murdered in FNAF2 or previous locations. The 5 children continued to haunt the FNAF1 models because they used the parts of the withered ones to make the FNAF1 models. The toy animatronics are NOT possessed. Evan (C.C) was killed in Fredbear’s and Friends (he haunted Fredbear) in 1983 Charlotte Emily was killed outside Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in 1984 Susie, Frits, Jeremy, Cassidy and Gabriel were killed in the New and Improved Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in 1987. Theory: The nightguard is a teenager in high school working during the summer, judging by the fact he says 'Your new SUMMER job at Freddy Fazbears Pizza.'
Theory, I guess: Phoneguy saying, “your new summer job,” even thought the game is in November, is because the original night guard that was supposed to work in in the summer (possibly when the new pizzeria opened) ended up quitting on the first night or didn’t even get to the office at all. Possibly, Phoneguy or Fazbear Entertainment was too busy/lazy to record a new message. He could have continued when he found out the the new night guard stayed and decided to make the rest of the night phone calls, but I doubt the last part.
Or they're prerecorded messages to the nightguard before Jeremy, since one of the phone calls states the place is closing down despite it just reopening at the beginning of the game. Phone Guy also says that a birthday party will be scheduled the day after, but there's already birthday decorations set up prior to that call. He also states that someone used one of the suits in the back, causing none of the animatronics to act right, and implying that some kids died, but the animatronics are already trying to kill Jeremy on Night 1. This implies that they're already haunted. Phone Guy also states that he'll take the Night shift after the place eventually reopens, and who works at the FNAF 2 location when it reopens? Jeremy Fitzgerald.
You know, looking back on it several years later, I feel like these problems could have been solved pretty easily. Give the newer animatronics an internal clock and set them to stay within the boundaries of the main area once closing time rolls around, and straight up just remove the power source for all the old animatronics.
The phone guy does say that it should be impossible for the animatronics to walk around during the night, so maybe they already tried doing that or something similar to it but for some reason it doesn’t work and the animatronics still walk around.
The withered ones were possessed. That is likely the reason they even moved in the first place since they wouldn't be able to just turn on by themselves and while the toy ones to my understanding weren't possessed yet they were active all the time since they had that criminal database feature so they would be able to move since as he stated they don't have a night mode. Although it is a bit weird that chica takes her beak and eyes off to look more scary that is the only thing I don't understand.

Phone guy in fnaf 2 you can tell was a good dude, he became a company puppet after the events in fnaf 2 and you can see that in fnaf 1. Up until his death where he tells you look in then suits so they can find his body.
From what I can tell William was the day shift security officer by this time he had killed charlotte and 5 others in the Freddy’s before the FNAF 2 location, parts of the original characters also haunted the toy characters. William was originally on the night shift but realized the characters remembered him and was able to survive the first week most likely being the one to find a old Freddy head and using it as a disguise. During the 4th day he messes with their facial recognition hoping to make the characters less violent towards him but instead making them hostile to all adults. William on day 5 using the old spring lock suit that was in the back and used it to trick more victims the fact the puppet and other characters know they failed yet again makes them ultra hostile most importantly the golden Freddy who was the victim “you shouldn’t have killed” who’s sprit alone could kill the player character on night 6. On day 7 the birthday party occurs and it’s actually one of the toys that causes the bite of 87 because phone guy said the characters were allowed to walk around during the day until the bite suggesting the toy characters bit either an adult or your character and destroyed their frontal lobe but didn’t actually kill your character…. And alas it was too much for the franchise the worker sold out and used the toy characters to fix up the original 4 characters and opens Freddy’s in 1993 the restaurant is smaller, less advanced but the show goes on

The only thing I've never understood about this game in particular is why the toy animatronics are alive if its the withered/fnaf 1 animatronics that are possessed. I know about remnant and all that stuff, but does that mean the spirits have control over both sets of animatronics, or does the remnant just bring them to life

I feel like there was a reason that the phone guy in UCN is in the “old friends” challenge, I mean like he said that he would take the night shift for you when all the animatronics are going haywire, so yeah he is basically putting his life on the line for you
My theory about the whole “summer job but the paycheck says November” is that all of these phone calls may be prerecorded messages, except for Night 6. Maybe someone can check surveillance from a secure place and contacted the Phone Guy to tell them “hey, someone in there when they shouldn’t be” so he actually calls you that night. The only problem that I can see is that the FNAF 2 location has only been open for a few weeks. (That or all phone calls when the investigation is mentioned are actual phone calls, the others before that are recorded messages)

The restaurant would've closed nearly immediately after FNAF 2 sixth night (proven by "closing after being opened for less than a week" clip on the newspaper) you don't get paid by a shut down company months later. And reguarding the November thing, check was dated November 12 so nearly 15 days before December (when meteorological summer "actually/officially" begins) phone guy probably assumed Jeremy would keep the Job through summer

The one problem I have is that if the witherd robots were the origional five kids that got murdered when the company was rebuilding them would of they of had found their rotting corpses in the suits
Phone guy recorded these messages months before the character we play as started working there. We actually play after the building has re-opened. It seems that someone had the job in the summer and these tapes were recorded for them but then the Spring Bonnie animatronic was stolen and a tragedy happened which led to them closing for quite some time. Then, it re-opened (most likely in November since that’s what the paycheck says) and we took the job.
After listening back on these calls… what if that first night guard that got transferred was Afton? Hear me out: He takes the night shift so that he can program the animatronics to walk around during the night so that he can BS his way to a day shift. From there, he enacts the murder of the Save Them kids, and lies about the rumors (which turns out to be the truth) of the tragedies of the missing kids. Afterwords, the animatronics begin their irregular behavior due to possession, and he is terminated (unknown whether by firing or by voluntary leave, but my guess is the former). After all of this, he enacts the Missing Children Incident, as described by the Phone Guy by his elaboration of having a “Yellow Suit in the back; someone used it. Now none of them are acting right.”

Foxy always going fast is probably correlated with fritz running away before getting killed.

So our temporary solution is this: there's a music box over by the Prize Counter, and it's rigged to be wound up remotely. So just, every once in a while, switch over to the Prize Counter video feed and wind it up for a few seconds. It doesn't seem to affect all of the animatronics, but it does affect... one of them. (*clears throat*) Uh... and as for the rest of them, we have an even easier solution. You see, there may be a minor glitch in the system, something about robots seeing you as an endoskeleton without his costume on, and wanting to stuff you in a suit, so hey, we've given you an empty Freddy Fazbear head, problem solved ! You can put in on anytime, and lead it on for as long as you want. Eventually, anything that wandered in, will wander back out. I'm here after I watched the movie 3 times, and my anxiety make me think unstoppable about if instead of Vanessa Afton, it was Henry, and about the phone calls, how are they gonna make the second movie, how are they gonna introduce Michael Afton
Well since FNAF 2 is an actual prequel of FNAF 1, I believe in the second movie it's probably going to be how the first animatronics came to be and also Williams first victim's. But they could just change everything since the movie is a different lore
New theory in light of hw2, maybe when they said the building was on lockdown, and now none of the animatronics were acting right, that was because this point in the timeline, 1987, is when charlie was murdered.
People say that phone guy was referring to mangle as a he but honestly he just was talking about the old foxy and how he was just upgraded idk mangles is still a yes I think. But I personally refer to mangle as a she due to her voice, feminine appearance, and her being in ladies night so I think people just got confused about her gender or whatever, I heard Scott confirmed she was a yes but im not sure if that’s true or not since other people confirmed she was a girl fill me in on stuff you know!
when i first played fnaf 2 i thought he was finally back , but it was a prequel and ppl theorized that in fnaf 1 that the reason phone guy wanted the main protagonist to look in the backrooms with the costumes was because golden Freddy was after him, and he got killed by him and he asked you to check the suits cause he knew he would get stuffed into them, and he wanted you to find him and report it

This is my speculation of the fnaf timeline: I believe Charlotte's death happened before CC's death unless Charlotte died somewhere else other than Fredbears. Restaurants do not close after a murder, it just makes people not want to visit the restaurant. In addition, this was Henry's restaurant and he cant just sue the company or restaurant by himself. With CC's death happening in public, that sure will end up with numerous lawsuits, causing the restaurant to close. So thats why I believe CC died after Charlie's death. 1st MCI happens 2 years later. And (if there was ever) 2nd MCI happened another 2 years later in 1987. Five years later, last Freddy's pizzeria closes.
Theory: Phone guy was the person working at the night shift in night 7 as he says that he would take the shift when the restaurant opens again and that he has a new name. I also think his name is mike smith as Michael Afton will still be too young to work.
Michael Afton was a teenager in 1983 - he was the Bully Brother in FNAF 4. He was absolutely old enough for a Freddy's job by 1987, assuming the job doesn't require any special qualifications. Also, the person working at the Custom Night gets fired for tampering with the animatronics' programming. The pink slip even calls them out for getting fired like this on their first day. Phone Guy, meanwhile, keeps his job all the way until his death in the pre-recorded Night 4 phone call, prior to when Mike "Schmidt" (also likely an alias for Michael Afton) takes the night shift.

When I actually pay any attention to these, I realise how little they make sense. Just look at the Night 6 phone call. “The place is closed down, at least for a while” whilst also saying “We have one more event scheduled for tomorrow”. Like how does this make any sense?!?

The reason the building went into lockdown was because of the Bite Of 87, which was this. A certain number of kids were breaking apart Mangle, and one day, it become so unstable that it bit down on one of the kids’ heads, resulting in the loss of the frontal lobe of the victim’s brain. That is why all of the toy animatronics were scrapped.

If I remember correctly, starting with your camera up, as soon as he says "you should be golden", if you put down the camera golden freddy should appear every time without fail.

See, I still don’t get why some people say this game takes place before the first game because we clearly see the “withered” version of the old animatronics, and the phone guy clearly states the old place was left to rot and literally used to go out when the power goes out, while this new location doesn’t if you happen to run out of power with the flashlight.

This goes to show that this one is a prequel and the reason the ones from the first game are so destroyed is because they get repaired and put in the new diner that you play in during the first game

Also, a very, very, VERY, brief timeline: -Fredbear's Opens (1983) -First Freddy's Opens (1983) -First Freddy's Closes down (1985) The Withered animatronics, came from The First Freddy's Location. Then: -Fnaf 2, Grand Reopening ( Early-Mid 1987) -Fnaf 2 Closes (Late 1987) We are told that the toys at this point, are scrapped, and the Withered animatronics will be repaired, for a new, smaller location on a lower budget. Hence, Fnaf 1 Opens, and we Play the game there, at the time of 1993. These Used to be the withered animatronics, but now, after fnaf 2, they have been repaired, to the fnaf 1 conditions.
Everyone talks about how scary the night 6 call is and how concerned Phone Guy sounds, but is anyone going to address how much of an asshole he is for asking you to do the day shift RIGHT AFTER DOING THE NIGHT SHIFT with...what like 2 hours of sleep at most? I believe the location in Fnaf 1 was the same location as the Freddy’s that closed down before Fnaf 2, so the security system you would eventually use in Fnaf 1 would’ve been there before.
That and the phone guy clearly states about how the building used to go out entirely if you ran out of power before. That and the fact we have the withered characters makes me believe this game is definitely a sequel and the fandom that says otherwise is stupid.

There's never any hints of phone guy being an accomplice aside from him pushing aside the gruesome bits of the job, even then he's likely only brushing it off to make sure you don't quit. There is also no mention of the player character ever dying in the series (aside from sister location) or even evidence that you play as phone guy in FNAF 1. In fact, the only "proof" that does exist is phone guy saying that a golden suit was used in FNAF 2, and golden freddy appears in the first game. Even them it's shown that the yellow suit he was talking about was the spring bonnie costume, the one used to lure the kids away. I'm genuinely curious to see your sources to prove some of these conclusions you thought of, reading that paragraph was one hell of a fever dream.

@SuperbConnor64 You are found dead the next day, collateral damage. Then in the first game, it's likely that the guy on the phone was caught and put on death row. The pizzeria of the first game being this surreal monotony that has no escape, which is what the character in the second game saw as well in between nights. The guy on the phone panicked, and it cost him and his new employee their lives.
So you can imagine when the games after 2 abandoned this cool story, I stopped caring. The ties to real life murders were extremely scary, but once the kids started watching such a violent game series and making Scott a bunch of money, he had to sell out to them for cash seeing how majority rules, and cash is king. To his credit, he didn't hide his contempt with selling out in 3, being all about recycling stupid lore for dumb kids. No wonder that guy was so upset with every new game, his vision was ruined by Little Timmy.
Just like the box from FNAF 4, the answers to the series changed over the years as Scott's life did. My favorite answers were in the first two games. It was so interesting and surreal. As if you could feel a monster breathing on your neck or had everything in your house replaced with an exact duplicate in the first game, this subtle terror. Then the second, which was a complete dread. Nowhere to run, and surrounded from all sides. Dead if you ran, doomed to suffer in the purgatory of the first game if you stayed.

William was fired upon Henry uncovering what he planned to do with the sister location. William took it upon himself to kill Henry’s daughter when the first Freddy Fazbear’s pizza restaurant was in chain. Charlie (Henry’s daughter) ended up being the one haunting the Puppet.
William was still experimenting with the idea of remnant and came to the new establishment on several occasions. One of those occasions he came by dressed up as a night watch security guard wearing a purple suit, snuck into the parts and service, took the spring bonnie suit, lured 5 kids , killed them and got away with it. However the puppet put the souls of the children where they were stuffed (the old animatronics) and decided that, to protect more children, she would make it so that the Toy Animatronics were hostile to those who wore what William was weraring (the nightwatch guard’s outfit)

Theory, I guess: Phoneguy saying, “your new summer job,” even thought the game is in November, is because the original night guard that was supposed to work in in the summer (possibly when the new pizzeria opened) ended up quitting on the first night or didn’t even get to the office at all. Possibly, Phoneguy or Fazbear Entertainment was too busy/lazy to record a new message. He could have continued when he found out the the new night guard stayed and decided to make the rest of the night phone calls, but I doubt the last part.
Or they're prerecorded messages to the nightguard before Jeremy, since one of the phone calls states the place is closing down despite it just reopening at the beginning of the game. Phone Guy also says that a birthday party will be scheduled the day after, but there's already birthday decorations set up prior to that call. He also states that someone used one of the suits in the back, causing none of the animatronics to act right, and implying that some kids died, but the animatronics are already trying to kill Jeremy on Night 1. This implies that they're already haunted.
Phone Guy also states that he'll take the Night shift after the place eventually reopens, and who works at the FNAF 2 location when it reopens? Jeremy Fitzgerald.

You know, looking back on it several years later, I feel like these problems could have been solved pretty easily. Give the newer animatronics an internal clock and set them to stay within the boundaries of the main area once closing time rolls around, and straight up just remove the power source for all the old animatronics.

That is likely the reason they even moved in the first place since they wouldn't be able to just turn on by themselves and while the toy ones to my understanding weren't possessed yet they were active all the time since they had that criminal database feature so they would be able to move since as he stated they don't have a night mode. Although it is a bit weird that chica takes her beak and eyes off to look more scary that is the only thing I don't understand.

Phone guy in fnaf 2 you can tell was a good dude, he became a company puppet after the events in fnaf 2 and you can see that in fnaf 1. Up until his death where he tells you look in then suits so they can find his body.
From what I can tell William was the day shift security officer by this time he had killed charlotte and 5 others in the Freddy’s before the FNAF 2 location, parts of the original characters also haunted the toy characters. William was originally on the night shift but realized the characters remembered him and was able to survive the first week most likely being the one to find a old Freddy head and using it as a disguise. During the 4th day he messes with their facial recognition hoping to make the characters less violent towards him but instead making them hostile to all adults. William on day 5 using the old spring lock suit that was in the back and used it to trick more victims the fact the puppet and other characters know they failed yet again makes them ultra hostile most importantly the golden Freddy who was the victim “you shouldn’t have killed” who’s sprit alone could kill the player character on night 6. On day 7 the birthday party occurs and it’s actually one of the toys that causes the bite of 87 because phone guy said the characters were allowed to walk around during the day until the bite suggesting the toy characters bit either an adult or your character and destroyed their frontal lobe but didn’t actually kill your character…. And alas it was too much for the franchise the worker sold out and used the toy characters to fix up the original 4 characters and opens Freddy’s in 1993 the restaurant is smaller, less advanced but the show goes on

The only thing I've never understood about this game in particular is why the toy animatronics are alive if its the withered/fnaf 1 animatronics that are possessed. I know about remnant and all that stuff, but does that mean the spirits have control over both sets of animatronics, or does the remnant just bring them to life

My theory about the whole “summer job but the paycheck says November” is that all of these phone calls may be prerecorded messages, except for Night 6. Maybe someone can check surveillance from a secure place and contacted the Phone Guy to tell them “hey, someone in there when they shouldn’t be” so he actually calls you that night.
The only problem that I can see is that the FNAF 2 location has only been open for a few weeks.
(That or all phone calls when the investigation is mentioned are actual phone calls, the others before that are recorded messages)

And reguarding the November thing, check was dated November 12 so nearly 15 days before December (when meteorological summer "actually/officially" begins) phone guy probably assumed Jeremy would keep the Job through summer

Phone guy recorded these messages months before the character we play as started working there. We actually play after the building has re-opened. It seems that someone had the job in the summer and these tapes were recorded for them but then the Spring Bonnie animatronic was stolen and a tragedy happened which led to them closing for quite some time. After listening back on these calls… what if that first night guard that got transferred was Afton? Hear me out:
He takes the night shift so that he can program the animatronics to walk around during the night so that he can BS his way to a day shift.
From there, he enacts the murder of the Save Them kids, and lies about the rumors (which turns out to be the truth) of the tragedies of the missing kids. Afterwords, the animatronics begin their irregular behavior due to possession, and he is terminated (unknown whether by firing or by voluntary leave, but my guess is the former).
After all of this, he enacts the Missing Children Incident, as described by the Phone Guy by his elaboration of having a “Yellow Suit in the back; someone used it. Now none of them are acting right.”
It’s all but confirmed to be afton. Once he bails , he sends Michael, using the name Fritz smith, to work there to try and throw police off Williams trail
I don’t think so because phone guy says “The older animatronics always get disoriented in bright lights”, foxy just so happens to dive at you instead of looking at you directly before killing you (Talking about fnaf2). Foxy always going fast is probably correlated with fritz running away before getting killed.

So while our engineers don't really have an explanation for this, the working theory is that... the robots were never given a proper "night mode". So when it gets quiet, they think they're in the wrong room, so then they go try to find where the people are, and in this case, that's your office. So our temporary solution is this: there's a music box over by the Prize Counter, and it's rigged to be wound up remotely. So just, every once in a while, switch over to the Prize Counter video feed and wind it up for a few seconds. It doesn't seem to affect all of the animatronics, but it does affect... one of them. (*clears throat*) Uh... and as for the rest of them, we have an even easier solution. You see, there may be a minor glitch in the system, something about robots seeing you as an endoskeleton without his costume on, and wanting to stuff you in a suit, so hey, we've given you an empty Freddy Fazbear head, problem solved ! You can put in on anytime, and lead it on for as long as you want. Eventually, anything that wandered in, will wander back out. Uh... something else worth mentioning is kind of the quirky modern design of the building. You may have noticed there are no doors for you to close... heh... But hey, you have a light ! And even though your flashlight can run out of power, the building cannot. So, don't worry about the place going dark. Well, I think that's it. Uh... you should be golden. Uh... check the lights, put on the Freddy head if you need to, uh, keep the music box wound up, piece of cake. Have a good night, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Uh, those are from the previous location. We just use them for parts now. The idea at first was to repair them... uh, they even started retrofitting them with some of the newer technology, but they were just so ugly, you know ? And the smell... uh, so the company decided to go in a whole new direction and make them super kid-friendly. Uh... those older ones shouldn't be able to talk around, but if they do, the whole Freddy head trick should work on them too, so whatever. Uh... heh... I love those old characters. Did you ever see Foxy, the Pirate ? Oh wait, Foxy... oh yeah, Foxy. Uh... hey listen, that one was always a bit twitchy, uh, I'm not sure the Freddy head trick will work on Foxy. Uh... if for some reason he activates during the night and you see him standing at the far end of the hall, just flash yout light at him from time to time. Those older models would always get disoriented with bright lights. It would cause a system restart, or something. Uh, come to think of it, you might want to try that on my room where something undesirable might be. It might hold them in place for a few seconds. That glitch might've carried over to some of the newer models too. Uh... one more thing: don't forget the music box. I'll be honest, I never liked that puppet thing. It's always... thinking, and it can go anywhere. I don't think a Freddy mask will fool it, so just don't forget the music box. Um... anyway, I'm sure it won't be a problem. They tried to remake Foxy, ya know ? Uh, they thought the first one was too scary, so they redesigned him to be more kid-friendly and put him in Kid's Cove. To keep the toddlers entertained, you know... but kids these days just can't keep their hands on themselves. The staff literally has to put Foxy back together after every shift. So eventually they stopped trying and left him as some "take apart and put back together" attraction. Now he's just a mess of parts. I think the employees refer to him as just "The Mangle". Uh... oh, hey, before I go, uh... I wanted to ease your mind about any rumors you might have heard lately. You know how these local stories come and go and seldom mean anything. I can personally assure you that, whatever is going on out there, and however tragic it may be, has nothing to do with our establishment. It's just all rumor and speculation... people trying to make a buck, you know... Uh... our guard during the day has reported nothing unusual. And he's on watch from opening 'til close. These things happen sometimes. Uh... It'll all get sorted out in a few days. Just keep an eye on things and I'll keep you posted. Uh, just as a side note though, try to avoid eye contact with any of the animatronics tonight if you can. Someone may have tampered with their facial recognition systems - we're not sure. But the characters have been acting very unusual, almost agressive towards the staff. They interact with the kids just fine, but when they encounter an adult, they just... stare. Well since FNAF 2 is an actual prequel of FNAF 1, I believe in the second movie it's probably going to be how the first animatronics came to be and also Williams first victim's. But they could just change everything since the movie is a different lore

This is my speculation of the fnaf timeline:
I believe Charlotte's death happened before CC's death unless Charlotte died somewhere else other than Fredbears. Restaurants do not close after a murder, it just makes people not want to visit the restaurant. In addition, this was Henry's restaurant and he cant just sue the company or restaurant by himself.
With CC's death happening in public, that sure will end up with numerous lawsuits, causing the restaurant to close. So thats why I believe CC died after Charlie's death.
1st MCI happens 2 years later.
And (if there was ever) 2nd MCI happened another 2 years later in 1987.
Five years later, last Freddy's pizzeria closes.
Theory: Phone guy was the person working at the night shift in night 7 as he says that he would take the shift when the restaurant opens again and that he has a new name. I also think his name is mike smith as Michael Afton will still be too young to work.
Michael Afton was a teenager in 1983 - he was the Bully Brother in FNAF 4. He was absolutely old enough for a Freddy's job by 1987, assuming the job doesn't require any special qualifications.
Also, the person working at the Custom Night gets fired for tampering with the animatronics' programming. The pink slip even calls them out for getting fired like this on their first day. Phone Guy, meanwhile, keeps his job all the way until his death in the pre-recorded Night 4 phone call, prior to when Mike "Schmidt" (also likely an alias for Michael Afton) takes the night shift.

The fact that Springtrap just regularly worked as a nightguard and was flipping cameras and doing the freddy head trick, avoiding to die is funny because he's the one who made the suits possessed
See, I still don’t get why some people say this game takes place before the first game because we clearly see the “withered” version of the old animatronics, and the phone guy clearly states the old place was left to rot and literally used to go out when the power goes out, while this new location doesn’t if you happen to run out of power with the flashlight.
Notice how he says “I’ll be the one taking the night shift after you” during the night 6 phone call and then in the first game he says “i use to work in that same office before you” on the first night. This goes to show that this one is a prequel and the reason the ones from the first game are so destroyed is because they get repaired and put in the new diner that you play in during the first game

They were probably at the other freddy fazbears that was open alongside fredbears in fnaf 4
I believe the location in Fnaf 1 was the same location as the Freddy’s that closed down before Fnaf 2, so the security system you would eventually use in Fnaf 1 would’ve been there before.
That and the phone guy clearly states about how the building used to go out entirely if you ran out of power before. That and the fact we have the withered characters makes me believe this game is definitely a sequel and the fandom that says otherwise is stupid.

@@MonkeMan2.0 Well, there are two facts that make it undeniable that Fnaf 2 is a prequel. First, Fnaf 2 is set in 1987 since we see the year on the ending check and Phone Guy mentions the bite of 87 in Fnaf 1. Second, Phone Guy dies in Fnaf 1 so he’d be unable to make new recordings for Fnaf 2.
