    The Tauren Prince hate last year was so bad. He was our 2nd best shooter and outperformed his contract more than anyone else. Now he’s going to end up somewhere like Denver and be the reason we catch a couple losses in the season 😊

    • @PDunlo

      He’d be perfect coming off the bench it makes no sense letting him go. Get rid of Hayes, Reddish & Wood not Prince 🤦🏻‍♂️

      @melvincuaresma-SW 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      It wasn’t hate, it was his issue starting over Rui Hachimura! When he comes off the bench, he fits better! Obviously all of that has to do with Darvin Ham’s awful coaching rotations

    • @RWor1d
      @RWor1d 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@PDunlo wood is also exactly the piece this team needs too. He should never be the lone big on the court against a traditional big though.
      Darvin simply used his players wrong.
      Wood should be the 4/5 in a switching defense and can fit in absolutely any offense in the NBA
      Can function as a 3-5 on offense
      Simply was in a cold spell before getting injured.
      When he was on the team looked great and he played good defense when paired with AD

      @@melvincuaresma-SW I agree. But the overall take from Laker fans is that he is bad on top of playing too much.

    Thanks Scorpio my son & I have been saying the same thing to those calling for a rebuild!! They know damn well they will not be satisfied with 16, 20, 25 30 win seasons! They are complaining now because we are winning 45 + games & in the play in!! The same calling for rebuild wanted Green, Kuz, KCP traded!! They loved the young core bullish I remember a lot of them wanted them traded, Lonzo was BI was a bust Randall was one dimensional and DLO was a snitch!! Wanted them gone now want them back! Got DLO back & now want him traded! And Kuz got the most hate of all!! I don’t want to suffer with trash teams with the likes of Sacre, Boozer Chris Kaman, Roy Hibbert, etc !! A rebuild doesn’t automatically result in future success! You can have years of below mediocrity! How long has the Pistons been rebuilding? Hopefully the team will make a couple moves to improve the roster!! Let’s GO LAKERS!! LAKERS4LYFE 💜💛💜💛

    on the "Lakers need to have a direction" comment. Since the firing of Ham, they have seemed pretty focused on a direction. Word came out first that they were leaning toward choosing the role-player route versus the 3star model. Then news of a player program broke before JJ's official hire. JJ and FO starting talking about the young core consistently. JJ has been giving further insight into how they are thinking about player develop on a wholistic scale, approaching the player on every aspect that impacts the game and growth - from - training, analytics, workouts, nutrition to mental/emotional growth etc.
    Their trade targets have been more towards role players and second tier stars. They have not gone overboard with over the top offers. All this is very cohesive and aligns with JJ/FO stated direction of player growth and development over star chasing. Hopefully they stick to it. I think JJ is the right person for this, as most was his vision, in stark contast to the blindness of Ham, who merely had cliche platitudes to regurgitate.

      Nobody is conspiring. The Warriors already got rid of D-Lo for a reason. The Lakers just don't have very good players throughout their roster. Which is what some people tried to point out when it was being blamed on Hams rotation and such.
      It's the same roster. DeRozen won't improve it. Already, the Lakers Nation crew is pivoting to how much better Redick, whose efforts to lure assistants have been as lackluster as Pelinka acquiring players, will be once two of the top 10 players are gone.
      And I guarantee AD and LeBron won't play as many games as they did last season.

    Scorpio is on point with his take. The team is good. We need to make marginal upgrades. The best approach would be to get two-way guys, which is easier said than done because you would play 8 guys in the rotation during the playoffs, not 10 deep. So, playing the best lineups and sustaining them long-term would be ideal. My only is that JJ would be a great coach in adjusting on the fly and finding the mismatch in the game. Darvin is slow to change, especially during the regular season. He was great in the playoffs. Dlo is an unlikeable guy to trade for because he does not play as an excellent two-way player should.

    Laker fans are entitled and impatient. 17 rings by icons does that. Don't ignore the facts because of feelings...last year's team was better than the WCF finalist the previous year, wound up with the same seed and lost to the same opponent. If they played ANYBODY other than the Nuggets, they might've advanced then who knows. They WON the in-season tournament against an eastern conference finalist. They BEAT the current champs at full health at their place without LBJ and AD. They once AGAIN were one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs. They once AGAIN led the league in FTs by a ridiculous margin and points in the paint. After starting as one of the WORST, they became one of the BEST 3pt shooting teams. All this while a first time second year head coach LOST the team midway during the season. Vando hurt, Wood hurt, Reddish ignored, Prince misued, Christie unused with a clueless coach who pockets his timeouts and made no adjustments. All would feel differently if they got OKC in the first round instead of having Zion blow a tire in the play-in. One could see this as an opportunity to further the obvious chemistry that nobody seems to wanna recognize. If nothing significant is added couldn't they circle the wagons and disprove the doubters? They've be doing that the last couple of seasons. Maybe a smarter coach is the biggest acquisition they needed.
