Norrine. I had to let go of my attic space for a project my husband is working on. I had to put things in big storage containers. I used some blue bags to store blankets and small pillows. My crafts area upstairs now has to merge with my laundry room space. Your videos are so helpful. I do plan to purge extras and stuff I don’t use. My sister is starting a homeschool room, for her daughter who just started preschool. I will be giving her some stuff. I took 5 boxes to the thrift store. They are open now. Thanks so much for sharing your tips on organizing. I’m starting my laundry room project today.

One of my favorite craft tools is a telescoping magnetic pen. Every time I am die cutting I inevitably drop small dies on the floor and sometimes they like to hide. I just extend the magnet and it finds my missing die with no crawling on the floor.

Have you tried the Tim Holtz guillotine cutter, coupled with a Score Buddy! I’ve found both to be much more accurate! I have both cutters that you’ve recommended, and neither are as accurate!
As for ribbon scraps, I use paper towel, cardboard rolls for larger ribbon scraps and toilet paper rolls for smaller scraps! And no electricity needed! Only a very small scrap of low tack painters tape is need to keep the scraps adhered on the cardboard rolls! I love your page!!

The Crafty Organizer , I just used it on a couple of cards I made. Alas I’ve already mailed them. And to decide which scrap page I’ve used it on, No idea it dries clear so you don’t see it. The thing with this is you MUST close it as soon as you use it or it will clog in the lid. But, just run warm water and it desolves. A little bit goes a long way. I watch this lady on you tube. She goes by “MayMay made it so can you”.She has a shop ( small business) I’ve ordered from her before she does mostly cards. Some of her crafts are really good. I would love to send you what I’ve done I can make another card real quick. But, I’m not tech savvy at all and have no idea how to attach to an email🤦🏽‍♀️. Be well be blessed. And I so enjoy your videos.

Norrine, I have been watching your videos for a while now. Lately binge watching. Yesterday a light bulb went off while watching this one in particular. I happened to get the opportunity to go to a Dollar Tree not to far from me and they actually had the bins and black and white contact paper. I had been going to Dollar Tree after dollar tree thinking it was hopeless. I even went to some that were in Chicago thinking gee they have to have things here. Then here it was in my backyard all along. Now I have the big bins.
All that being said here is my question: If you sub-category in those bins, do you think just using quart or snack sized zip locs will work?

Love the butcher block paper hack. I have stored my paper scraps almost the same way for years now and by habit, always check it first before cutting a new piece of paper. Will definitely be getting one of those scrappers, loved that idea. My hot glue gun that I had for 25 years died, and must have bought 4 now to try and find one I like almost as good. I am currently using the Surebonder, but it's still not as good as my old gun was. I didn't know old glue sticks could go bad, so learned something today. Can't wait for your glue video.

Perfectly! The ONLY time I had an issue was a sign I made and used outside. It was in the sun and the squares oxidized. But I have a feeling any of the foam adhesive squares would have!

I do save ribbon. I will tie a tail of it to a magnifying glass, a key, small stuff that can get lost in clutter. I see the ribbon pattern and reclaim the item! I broke a Fiskars paper trimmer, but I have a great big old fashioned one with a nasty, scary blade and a great grid on it. It seems to be as big as a sheet of scrapbooking paper. My glue gun is about 20 years old or more. It is an Aleene's model in a carrying case with several tips. I have to admit I did not use it for about 15 years, but it fired right up when I was ready to craft again! I enjoyed your video, again!

I can't throw away any ribbon. I even cut off the little strips on the inside of clothes (not sure what they're for) and I have big jar of those. They'll come in handy some day! BTW There seems to be some kind of sound on vision hissing noise? Maybe it's my laptop, not sure.

I enjoyed this video. The one thing that all of us crafters have in common is that we love our tools. I have the majority of the same tools that you highlighted. In my arsenal you'll also find the Crop-A-Dile Big Bite as well as the punch and eyelet setter. My go to adhesive is glitter glue...more so than my glue gun which is in a drawer ready to be used at a moments notice because it is the Queen of the adhesives. And I can't tell you how much fabric and lace as well as ribbon and trim I have in my collection. I'm so glad that I amassed my collection because when Covid-19 hit... I was completely fine...in my element with all of the things that I needed to continue my crafting uninterrupted.

To answer your first question, yes I keep ribbon from packaging. I love the curling iron idea, though I never would have guessed you had one until I realized I too have curly hair and had a large curling iron for the Farrah look.
As for the second question. My first glue gun was a Craftsman purchased at Sears because the craft stores hadn't caught on yet. I'm guessing that was 35 years or so ago. It came with wood-glue sticks.
I have many non typical tools I use in crafting and sewing. Two of my favorites are meant for contractors. I have four metal yard sticks and a large metal T-Square that I use to measure and cut larger pieces of fabric or foamcore.
Believe it or not, I've had a Silhouette (Cameo 2) for almost five years and have yet to hook it up and use it. I know, shameful.

Hi Norrine. I do keep all bits of ribbon or twine or anything that ties a present or a purchase. The problem is I rarely use ribbon now on my cards (am trying different styles) so I've got a big box full 😅. I dont have a curling iron but have a hair straightener that works great too. I also use a food scraper but I chose a silicone one and use it often when spreading pastes over stencils ❤

    Another great tutorial.
I remember the tutorial you did on the paper organizing and I shared with you then. That same week I found them on clearance at hobby lobby for such a good price....I bought them all. I sorted and not only was it a great idea...it cut down on ALL those small containers ( your previous post😊) sitting on my shelf. I used a file crate and it keeps them organized. If I’m cutting a project and have to stop, I put all the pieces in a sleeve to keep tidy till next time!
All the ideas were very good.....I keep a rolling pin in my supply area for times when I have large glued paper projects.....works so well.
Still working on my office area......going to organize my shelves like you did with the handles on the file boxes you have behind you. I’ll review that post and get my supplies for that project together. Definitely looking forward to sharing on your Facebook page. I always take before during and after pics of all my projects.
As always enjoyed your tutorial today and looking forward to watching the post about the different glues 😊
