Ian, you honestly have the support from about 95% of the population. The other 5% don’t understand farming. But as I’ve said it’s now time to sell from the farm gate, make sure there’s shortages in the supermarkets. If that doesn’t work then I’d be fully behind any and all farmers to take militant action. And if farmers do, then I’ll be on the picket line with you and I’m not the only one, plenty of other people with no connections to farming will be there too. After all that remember you and ALL farmers regardless of what you produce are highly valued by all of us, as we all need you at least 3 times a day. Keep the fight going.
@@LANDYMAN090 I would rather we gathered understanding and support from the population we feed. Too many still don’t understand the reasons why APR and BPR was not levied on agriculture businesses, and many still think farmers are over privileged and historically wealthy Landowners in plus fours and tweed jackets getting away without paying their taxes like the poor folks do. Programs like Countryfile never show the blood sweat and tears, the debt, the long hours, the sleepless nights and the responsibility of getting up tomorrow and doing it all over again.
My uncle ran a market garden near Wrexham, N. Wales, he sold his produce at Wrexham market until it closed down. He then bought a truck and delivered it to Liverpool market, he even got orders from hotels to buy grown to order fruits and veg. Excellent video Ian, it’s great to see what the TV channels don’t show and to see the emotion that this policy has caused. Personally I think that the only way the farmers will get the policy changed is to stop supplying the food to the shops as the government will then listen to.
Thank you Ian for sharing some of your experiences on the 19th, of November and in particular the NFU meeting at Church House being one of those 212,261 signature's of the NFU Petition it made one feel included in your fight for cancellation of this unfair Government policy.🧐
Let’s just hope it all doesn’t fall on deaf ears. I find it interesting that your PM, like ours did during the truckers strike, disappeared off to some other country. Don’t face things, just run and hide.
This Government will not listen to the population of the UK. It started with the winter fuel allowance for pensioners. And now, inheritance tax for the farming community. Higher insurance rates. The list will get bigger. They keep banging on about the £22 billion black hole in finance. But we're soon to give train drivers and junior doctors pay rises at our expense. Remember 2025 local elections to vote all Labour Councillors out of their local seats.
Hi Ian, Thank you for making the effort to travel to London and The Houses of Parliament, I'm just hoping some of what was said sinks in before it's too late. My trips to The House of Commons were a lot more pleasurable, The Dunkirk Little Ship have a dinner there after the ships make their return to Dunkirk every five years. Raymond Baxter who was one of the founders of the ADLS had plenty of contacts with government and the Royals, which was very good for the Association. I must say the House port slides down a treat while listening to the after dinner speeches. While they were constructing the nearby tube station, it was my brothers job to check movement devices installed in the cellars under Big Ben. Walking past rack after rack of fine wines. On his last visit he was presented with a bottle as a thank you for no even touching a bottle in his many visits. I have only heard parts of this inheritance tax and not how it would work in practice, I did hear it would not affect anybody for at least ten years, so won't Labour be long gone by then.???
