Gaming these days is just not the same. Glad to have grown up during the best years of gaming.
That's the issue. You just grew up. Someone said the same thing about gaming in your time and some kid will say the same thing about today in a decade.

@@uja11 While I get where you are coming from, its also not entirely true. There are many trends in gaming that are just anti consumer and pro money and result in objectively worse games.
Many games these days are often times built around monetization and not the other way or build with minimum risk by copy pasting the same formula or running after every trend and forcing talented devs to work on games that are not their strength (e.g arcane). There is also the trend of stretching games out a lot, even though it doesn't add any value to the experience, but you can then say "our game is 100 hours long" etc. for marketing, because for some reason many people still don't understand that this isn't a good thing.
I wouldn't say that gaming as a whole has gotten worse, I agree with that, but big budget productions certainly did. Smaller developers are saving the industry though.

Games having soul back then
It is a really underappreciated game. I'd say that about all 3 games in fact. Crysis was a cool series.
Swapping between suit modes to completely dominate the battlefield as a super human killing machine is so fun.
CRYSIS,Dead Space, and Left 4 Dead were ahead of their time-

Crisis was great but dead space when I was younger scared me especially with the one that couldn’t die
Those games were amazing during the golden age of gaming.

I love how Alcatraz bends down to pick up and look at the missing poster, before gently letting go so it can blow away in the wind. And finally clenching his fist in anger/determination.
Nice reminder there's a person inside that suit.
Or it's the suit that's starting to act like a human being despite using a walking corpse.

just finished playing the remastered version of all 3 games recently and I gotta say one of the scariest things is the alien spore, what it does to the human body. It isn't really painful, only to some, it doesn't turn you into raging zombies it just ... slowly goopifies you. to be used as ressource. watching those half molten civilians really made my stomach turn

It feels crazy to come back to this game in 2023. The year this game takes place. Not a far future at all. I passed on this game to my brother to experience this amazing game and we both saw the year it took place when the first scene began. It was so mind boggling because I didn't realize before it took place in 2023.
Now we are closer and closer to the year BO2 takes place.
Even though I've watched this trailer for years and years, I just noticed something, the man in the first picture, is the man with the grenade... 😞

Even at the end of 2023, I'm watching this with tears in my eyes. I remember when I saw the trailer as a child, when I first played this game.. I tried to run it on the GT440, it crashed every 2 seconds, but I tried to enjoy the game at 10 fps. It was hard, but so incredible.

Im revisiting this trailer after 12 years, Ive matured since then, this trailer used to give me nightmares and made me want to serve in the military so i could protect the ones I love.

What the heck, the marines in this trailer have their uniforms from the first game. Intead the generic ones they have in the actual version.
Also stalkers sounds and looks different.
They should let the original marines uniform. Stalkerts sounds different but looks very similar.

Rip I would love to see a crisis 4 although not sure how that will turn out it should be an intermission between profit getting from lingshan/stealing the suit to New York or an intermission between cysis 2 and 3 since there’s 20 years gap rip tho amazing series no matter how linear the game was tho shame 2 it could have been more open
