You can really tell how much time, effort and research you put into making this video and it definitely does not go unnoticed!! Absolutely loved it, I’m sure this is going to help so many people out there!
UTS has a decent degree, seems like you have more leeway to design your course than other universities. It's also a practice oriented uni, so you'll get more hands on training rather than just theoretical.
Hi Joan, most of the courses will be full time with option to also go part time based on your time availability. All lectures are typically recorded, so you can watch them whenever you need to.
Was UNE's master of data science not available yet in 2021? If not, do you think it's any good? I know their Bachelor of Computer Science has an 80% satisfaction rate with their graduates
Yea at the time it didn't exist. I've updated the notion to include it. It's a decent degree, but I don't think it's as focused to data science as other DS from Umelb or RMIT. Seems like you do project management subjects as well as cybersecurity ones. If you're interested in a wide breath of topics, then it's better.
It's not bad. First year courses look good but the second year isn't great. The subjects aren't the best. I would also consider some of the other universities on my list.
Hi Mate, i am in retail analysis and planning role for more than 10 years based in Melbourne. Now want to transition into data science. Already working full time stressful job. Considering University of Adelaide online master of data analysis programme as they are flexible and allow me to do this course without having any technical background. Will really appreciate your thoughts on this? 😊
Hi Saurabh, thanks for reaching out. That sounds like a good plan. It'll be a steeper learning curve without a technical background but you'll be fine if your interest is there.
Bro, I would like to study Masters in data science in Federation University,Ballarat. How is this university. Pls guide me in making the right decision as oversea studies cost a fortune and one more thing, is this course really ACS accredited, will it affect PR.
Hello Samanvay, I have found that different courses of data science are not accredited by ACS? Won't this create problems in our professional career? What are the drawbacks of studying master of data science in those university where accreditation is recognised by ACS? Please reply me..#loveFromNepal
Hi, thanks for reaching out! That's a good point. Let me look into it. From an employer's perspective, there aren't many times where employers check whether a course is ACS accredited or not when they're hiring. I'm not sure what the implication is for getting PR/residency. Let me look into it.
I have also reviewed the master of data science from Swinburne Uni in samanvaykarambhe.notion.site/samanvaykarambhe/Master-of-Data-Science-in-Australia-2021-d39b9411cca7424a91b7dde659fa6ca6. Check it out. I think it's totally fine. I would recommend going for a group of eight uni first if possible, otherwise this course is good.
Hey bro, thank you for this video! I'm about to enrol myself into Usyd's MDS program. Do you have any opinion of that course just by looking at its structure and subject components? Many thanks 😊
Hi Bobby, happy to hear that you enjoyed it! Great. No particular opinion. It's a compressed course compared to the 2yr one. It will give you a good start in DS to get you into the workforce quicker.
@samanvay I have few doubts. Could you clarify. It would be of great help to me. 1. Data science or Cyber security - which of this has bright future 2. Does masters in data science require prior related work exp after studies 3. Does masters in cyber security a worth or certification in cybersecurity is enough? 4. In short can you give your thoughts on data science and cyber security
Hi Amey, thanks for reaching out. I would say that both universities are equally as good. The courses are pretty similar. It just depends on where you would like to live during your studies.
Thank you Sonika. What do you mean by getting a hike? If it is a salary increase, then it doesn't matter which country you're in. If you are good in your job, then you will get a promotion.
Hi Samanvay, thanks for your video. I'm currently a data scientist and have a plan to continue my study in master of data science focusing on spatial geodata and natural language processing. I have some informations that university of melbourne and sydney has those options. Do you think I shoule consider one of them, or do you have any suggestion for me? Thanks for your time making this video tho
Hi Sari, thank you for reaching out! Both universities are great for learning about NLP. Happy to help you make a more informed decision. You can sign up for a coaching session with me if you need a more personalised opinion.
Hi Manish, thanks for reaching out. Check out my masters guide link in the description. I have got some Brisbane universities in there as well as the fees. UQ and QUT are decent. I would go with UQ. Cost is around $40-50k AUD per year.
Hi. Should I go to the university for my data science degree? I am planning to study in Western Sydney University but the cost is expensive compared to TAFE NSW. Can you please help me on this?
Hi Sumit, are you an international or local student? I would say that it's easier to get a job in the data science field with a university degree. You will be competing with people with bachelors, masters and phd level degrees. More of what you learn in a degree will be useful in the workplace. What are you thinking of studying at TAFE NSW?
@@SamanvayKarambhe thank you for the respons. I had shortlisted TAFE because the cost is cheaper for an international student like me. But I am not sure if the degree in tafe(BIT data engineering) will be as useful as that of Uni.(bachelors in data science) Do you think if i choose western sydney university, i will have a hard time covering my expenses?
Ah I didn't realise TAFE was offering bachelor level degree. I think it's a good option given it's cheaper and it shouldn't cause you too much of a hassle getting a job. You'll be fine. Western sydney uni is about $10k more per year compare to TAFE. Financially, working part time while studying will help a lot with covering your expenses. There are many part time job opportunities available here.
How hard will it be to study Master in Data Science and work by international students at same time, I wanna know its level of hardness compared to Cyber Security and Networking. Please do reply
Hi Vashkar, thanks for reaching out. None of those degrees are going to be easy to do. I can't tell you exactly what the relative difficulty is, but it won't be that different. I think with decent time management you should be able to work and study. It will come with its struggles but with enough hard work, you can do it!

Hi, I am in Sydney right now, my background is bachelor of business studies in Nepal, I would like to go for graduate diploma in data science and after then MDS. Which university is best for me ? Thankyou
Thanks a lot for the info! I have a bachelors in Business management and I'm thinking of pursuing a masters in business analytics. Do you think it's possible to do it without a previous knowledge in programming or coding??
Glad you got value out of it! Yea it should be doable without programming experience but you will have to do the hard work of learning on your own to keep up with some of the units. Business analytics won't be as code heavy as a data science degree.

Perfect timing @Samanvay, been wondering about this for the past few weeks! Great video and thank you :D.
Great to hear! Happy to hear that it was useful to you.
Really well researched video! Needed this 3 years ago! 😅
Thank you Rohan! Haha. Well you made a pretty good choice by going to UMelb!
Effort appreciated😊❤
Good Carrier guidance!! Much needed in the atmosphere of ambiguity.👌👌👌
Thank you! I agree, it's all seems very complicated when there is no one to show you what you should be studying!
Anyone thinking about this course pursuing from deakin uni melbourne ???
Can you please make the videos for undergrad(bachelors) for data science in australlia
Thanks for reaching out Aadil! That's a great idea. I will add it to the list!

How good is MS. Machine learning and computer vision degree at ANU
Yea ANU is a great uni. Their ML program is fairly good.
Hey.. if you had to pick a second best.. which one would it be?
Tough question. I'd pick another uni in the group of 8 like Monash or Usyd.
How is University of Canberra's master of data science degree. Can you please help me with it.
Looking at the course description, it looks like a fairly good course. The course covers a wide range of subjects which is great.
rmit or macquarie university which one is best for master in data science?
I would recommend RMIT as they have a greater selection of electives for you to pick as you think about specializing.
great video bro
Thank you mate!
