    Hello Sam,
    Your notion board on masters of data science has James Cook University offering the programme online but it seems they now offer msc data science on-campus now.

    I have a background in business development. I'm interested in changing my carrer path towards data science, but I have no idea where to start. Can you recommend a course in Autralia for international students?

    Hi Samanvay!
    I live in Perth, WA. I have been following your videos for a while now as I'm interested in DS. I have no one in my vicinity that is a DS so your videos have been of great help.
    I'm in a bit of rut, I've got a biomedical sciences undergraduate and a masters in nursing, currently qualified RN. I'm wanting to jump ship but am unsure as to how I should go about it - would you recommend a postgraduate course or just to stick to smaller courses (e.g. freecodecamp, udemy etc.)? Am currently learning python and aim to learn SQL but am having cold feet and am generally unsure. Would really appreciate your advice. Thanks!

      Hi mate, thanks for reaching out. I think the best option for you is to pursue a master of data science. This will help you be on track. You can start part time to balance with your day to day work. Given you're doing a career shift, it'll be hard to get your skills up solely off the back of boot camps.

      @@seth_evermanHey, can you please tell what does the word ‘Mathematics’ mean in terms international qualification? I have studied few mathematics courses in my bachelor’s of Economics. Can I go for this program?

    • @seth_everman
      @seth_everman ปีที่แล้ว

      @@osamagill9143 it depends i think, because some data science courses only teach computer subjects. But i would say most courses have mathematics and you can do a masters of data science after bachelors of economic 😊

    Thanks for the sharing! How is the career aspect of being a data scientist in Australia? How would you compare it with being a software developer?

    • @SamanvayKarambhe
      @SamanvayKarambhe  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome! Being a data scientist is a great career. There are always interesting problems to solve and no two days are the same! As a data scientist, you will be dealing more with clients and internal stakeholders whereas a software developer is mostly removed from the customer or the client side. Depending on the branch of software development, the job can vary quite a lot and it mainly involved developing products, so most days will be you smashing out code. Happy to delve deeper if you have specific questions.

    Thank you so much for this video .do you recommend coming to Australia with 2 year of experience in the same field .how hard or easy to get job in the same field with less experience.

    • @SamanvayKarambhe
      @SamanvayKarambhe  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea I think that's better than no experience. You will have an easier time getting a full time or part time job while studying in DS.

    • @SamanvayKarambhe
      @SamanvayKarambhe  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say that no job in IT is easy if you want to make money. Every type of job with a decent salary requires a fair bit of hard work.

    I am thinking of pursuing masters of health data analytics from monash do you think it’s a good option to consider for PR

    • @SamanvayKarambhe
      @SamanvayKarambhe  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good option. Worth thinking about what types of jobs it will qualify you for. PR is very much skills based. Check out the skills list. Worth also consulting a migration lawyer for more customized advice.

      First you need to consult the prerequisites for the master of DS courses. It's possible you'd need to do some maths units. You can also explore doing a diploma to cover the prerequisites and then doing the masters

    Hi. Can someone who is expecting a temporary partner visa apply for jobs in Australia? Will there be any discrimination? Which is a better market for DS/DA jobs? Melbourne or Australia?

    • @SamanvayKarambhe
      @SamanvayKarambhe  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, my understanding is that there shouldn't be any discrimination. You should have equal rights to work in Australia. Would confirm with a migration lawyer if you have doubts. Both Sydney and Melbourne are great for DS jobs.

      Hi, immigration to Australia is based on a points system. Sometimes doing a master degree can give you more points towards PR however you'd have to check with a migration lawyer to get accurate information for your situation.
