    You never tire of hearing those great managers. Their respect for Busby, Shankly and Stein is marvellous. They are spot on about Scotland and football. That's all us lads had. As long as we had a ball and a few pals, it was game on from dawn until we got shouted in at dusk.

    As an Aberdeen fan , I always admired and respected Walter. I was gutted when he passed away. It felt like the end of an era...he was old school manager , from that ilk of Shankley, Stein, Jock Wallace, Jim McLean and of course Sir Alex.

    Walter was unlucky at Everton the state of the club when he was manager. I think he was good enough to win things in England if he was at the right team. What a manager
