Man, do I remember the days of the live Latin Bands. I am a 72 year old black woman. My parents were very strict and I use to sneak out to go see and dance to the music of Jimmy Sabater, Joe Cuba and Eddie Palmieri at the Palladium. We would dance all night. Sometimes my parents caught me but I didn't care I had a good time. 😁👏😁👏
RIP JIMMY YOU WERE THE INSPIRATION FOR ME WRITING MY FIRST SONG, A BOLERO CHA ENTITLED "MY DREAM" (IN ENGLISH) WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE MY MOST POPULAR GENRE. IN FACT, FANIA RECORDS GAVE ME A VERY UNUSUAL DEAL. IF I RECORDED 3 BOLERO CHA'S FOR THEM IN EVERY ALBUM, I COULD DO WHATEVER I WANTED TO. ON THE OTHER 9 TUNES ON ALL MY FANIA ALBUMS. BTW IN THOSE DAYS WE USUALLY RECORDED 12 TRACKS. SO MY DEAR DEPARTED FRIEND. I AM FOREVER THANKFUL TO YOU. I'M 84 NOW STILL CAUSING "GOOD TROUBLE". ALTHOUGH WE WERE BOTH BORN IN 1936, IT SEEMS LIKE GOD NEEDED YOUR GREAT TALENTS. SOONER OR LATER I WILL BE WATCHING YOU SING THE CLASSIC THAT WILL ALWAYS BE YOUR SONG ALONE "TO BE WITH YOU" ONCE AGAIN..
Some musicians are really good and can be certainly be diverse in many ways. Jimmy Sabater was one of them; he didn’t really pursue singing alone as a career, but he was the most powerful voice of the Joe Cuba Sextet, no doubt!!! Great music and great group, all start!!! Forever in my mind!!!
Jimmy’s only gone in body only but his soul and music will live for ever and ever threw us his fans and may his soul rips🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🪗🪗🪗🪗🎸🎸🎸🪘🪘🪘🪈🪈🪇🪇🎺🎻🎻🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻

OMG!!! I grew up listening to all these old timers, one by one their leaving us for a better place, but they all have left behind their BEAUTIFUL music each with their own style, & El Maestro Jimmy Sabater was one of the greatest in his time, Que el senor lo tenga CANTANDO EN EL CIELO with the rest of our artist that are there with him...
Dear Jimmy. I remember you came to my 13th birthday party and sang my favorite song ( To Be With You). I had a crush on you because I loved your sexy voice. You and my dad were awsome musicians. I remember my dad visiting you in Clasin point. I have lots of photos of you & my dad to look back at. 2 years ago he joined you up in heaven. I miss you both whole heartedly. (R.I.P) Jimmy and Mike Guagenti
I met Mr. Sabater through my dad as he worked with Jimmy,Jr. Sorry, Jimmy for your loss. God bless you and may you fully appreciate everyday we have here. Take nothing for granted and give what you want to receive, everyone. God bless.

My dearest brother Jimmy....I am heartbroken to find out today that you are no longer with us. Although I have never met you, I want you to know that you have been a major influence to me in my quest to become a singer. Growing up in our household in the 60's & 70's, I loved it when you'd croon your tunes, man...whether it'd be charanga or romantic soul you always knew how to set the mood at a party, or a romantic interlude. Brother Jimmy, THANK YOU from all of us. Long live in our hearts compai

@tianadavila and TheLilteacher1957 ....Thank you both...I meant every word of it too.
