His voice is a treasure he’s a legend Afro Puerto Rican’s our people have so much soul his music definitely stood the test of time. Breathtaking honestly he needs to be in the music hall of fame for his works
Thanks for posting this song. One of the most romantic songs ever. Although Jimmy defined romance when he sang ballads. Such memories of Williamsburg, Bklyn. Thanks Jimmy (up in heaven) for your vocal gifts.
I remember this song so we'll, my dad was one of the original members of the band at the time of first recording of this song. My father played percussion for Joe Cuba during that time. I wish I knew how to get in touch with any of the other band mate's to see if there were any pictures taken during the original recording of this song. My dad died back in 2008 of prostate cancer and I have no photos of him. My dad also played with Perez Prado as well as Lalo Guerrero.
Awesome just simply awesome thank you so much for putting up this video this was truly a classic song while growing up in Union City New Jersey and listening to Frankie Crocker putting this song on!!!!!!!

Amazing song and his voice was so sweet
When it comes to English Latin jazz, Jimmy Sábater & Smokey Robinson would’ve a good duo.
