Yes, this is exactly what I've been thinking! ESFPs and ESTPs I have experienced are very interested in the abstract, particularly the dark sides of the unknown, leading them to love ghost stories, scary movies and the like. I think this is also the reason behind why so many ESxPs are spiritual - because the Ni perspective is so mysterious to them.
I'm an ESTP and I'd been dealing with panic attacks since ever, but actually the one who are worst are the "what if I don't know what to do in one month, after I graduated" or "what if can't stand the cardio training in this new gym", then one thing leads to another, and you call someone or suffer alone. The "Ni inferior panic attacks" are different; you feel you are going crazy, or even think in suicide as a releaf.
I know I'm coming here a long time after you wrote this comment, but what you described are common observer (ExxP/IxxJ) fears, like, they still fit in your type.
I had extreme night anxiety and struggled to sleep when I was a child because I always felt ghosts are in the room or they touching me omg that was so scary and I still have it though I know perfectly ghosts don't exist
ESTP here, I've noticed ESFPS, ISFPS are more prone to panic attacks due to lower Ni LINKED to Fi, i.e. I don't know what will happen+ I don't like it, leading to fear. This compounds very quickly in my experience ESPECIALLY in the SFPs in my experience with both. ESTPs such as myself are more disconnected from our emotions generally speaking so we tend to have panic attacks which literally feel like they are trapped under ice within our minds. Both empty and intense feeling at the same time. Weird experience. I haven't seen another ESTP or experienced a full blown panic attack myself.
I figure, inferior Ni can work (or not work) in a similar way with auxiliary Ti, which seeks to have an understanding on what's going on. Other than ESFP, as an ESTP, I'd say, you will tend to first observe and then rationalize things. How would you think you react to something that gives you no logical, observable explaination whatsoever? =)
The thing with that is, we tend to be fully ingrained in the physical world 90% of the time, wherein 99.5% of things can be explained through sensory investigation- sight, sound, smell, etc. I'm unconcerned with things which can't be explained for the most part unless they apply directly to my interests. I find this to be true for most all ESTPs. Meaning, if we don't understand why something is happening and it doesn't have an immediate impact on us, we dont care. And if it does have an impact to us and we dont understand it, then its probably an INFJ or ENFP who's harboring bitterness over something insensitive we said 6 months ago and didn't say anything, lol. So basically, ESTPs don't give a shit about most things, meaning we rarely feel threatened, because we are always adaptable. This is coming from someone who's moved schools, cities and continents throughout his life.
Sir Mustache, I agree. It takes a lot for me to be afraid and I tend to face threads heads-on while in some situations it would more sensible to hide or run away. If there’s one thing I dislike, it would to be a coward. I also don’t believe in ghosts. I think Ti is pragmatic. My ESFP mom was very superstitious though. She would also go to alternative healers when she was stressed.
This is so interesting. My ESFP has a stalker ghost, we joke it's a fan (cause he's good looking), except... the story is related by every single one of his roommates (at that time), NEVER by him. He just sits along and laughs at them, not drawing any conclusions, but it's the roommates who freak out, it's the roommates who noticed things going on around him at first. And somehow it's him with the stalker ghost. Hah. So funny that you'd upload this! Lol
Fascinating, thanks for posting this and i’d like to say- you have a great way of presenting your interesting hypotheses without jumping to hasty conclusions. Keep sharing these insights please!
Brandon Beck lol meanwhile I can imagine the INxPs going, "Hey, if you could haunt me another time, that would be great, I'm currently trying to find the key/meaning to life and you're not helping so..."
I definitely lived in a haunted house and experienced ghost before I even knew what had gone downbefore I moved in. Maybe we know to trust the sensory.
Yeah I can be like this sometimes. For years I was convinced that my childhood home was built upon an ancient Indian burial ground because bad things kept happening to everybody living there (including me). To this day I wonder if that was the case. I also have dreams that predict some sort of doomsday scenario for me. Every single one of them involves someone trying to kill me or warning me that I’m gonna die. I’m definitely an ESxP
My estp sister struggles significantly with anxiety and believes that there is a ghost haunting her and her house, so this video is creepily accurate as to her struggles in life. I thought she was crazy turns out she's just your average esxp.
estp and this is true for me. I sometimes hear or see things that are not actually there, its pretty scary. but no doubt I can fight things that get in my way.
Is there a type-maybe also ESxP-that is more prone to having night terrors or sleep paralysis? The experience is like seeing a ghost or having a paranormal encounter.
Yep, I've been described as (having?) an "anxiety bouncy ball" - so Another bit of evidence that I'm ESTP. And my blog has some ghost stories scattered around for example - * The ghost with sharp claws. * Universal glitches. * Life's mystery enforcer. * The Invisible Thing.
People say all the time how it was socionics related but if you watch his "christian testimony" video he´s describing an incredibly isolated and abusive childhood. Put stressors like homelessness and debt on top of that and a breakdown is bound to happen.
This is so funny. My sister typed as an ENTP but I knew even before watching this that she is a S and not a N so ESTP and she often talks about ghost activity in her house and also in one of her previous houses there were ghosts. It's like these stuff follow her around.
... was Jung Se user??!! There is narrative where Jung explains how until he could write things down, there were funky things happening around the house...
This is fascinating. I would have expected the very opposite of this. I would have thought that the isfps or infps would have had the greatest level of anxiety.
It would be super valuable if you made that data public. Without names and faces of course. Just the data relating a particular type to a particular psychological disorder.
A GREAT example. An ESTP who started seeing ghosts and had a major meltdown. He sunk into extreme anxiety & kaos. Kept seeing ghosts, entities, E.T.s that scared the crap out of him. The experiences were very negative. That is TH-camr: EJARENDEE. His last 8 months of videos were quite revealing before he shutdown the channel. Anyone know how he is doing these days?
This makes sense to me as an ESP. However, I still think anxiety and most other psychological issues stem from unresolved childhood trauma. Type comes in how these issues manifest in the individual. Good parenting and a secure loving environment greatly reduces these issues across the board. For the ESPs, the here is something haunting you, but it's not ghosts, it's some unresolved repressed shit in your mind.
I'm Ni dom, my father and brother are also Ni dom, we all believe in ghosts, because one of the rental houses we used to own was very haunted in Tacoma, WA. Would any of us make a youtube vid about ghosts and put it onto youtube? No. Maybe Ni doms are just more private about the abstract things that may get laughed at by skeptics. I would definitely be a skeptic had we not ever owned that haunted rental house. I used to be a HSP and I can still sense houses that have a very weird and possible haunting when I walk past them. I do eventually talk about ghosts with people whom I like and explain what I've witnessed, but I would never make a youtube vid about it. I have a hypothesis that ghosts are aliens or inter-dimensional aliens or possibly that they are just recordings of former human energy into the rocks and earth below, like how a VHS tape gets recorded onto...some sort of electromagnetic memory.
Dam Dave. This is deeeeeeep. Fucking amazing data though, mind blowing every week love it. BTW what were the sources to your knowledge, what books do you recommend reading?
Bley Victor Yo! I'm an INFP...i think INFP people are perceived as weird by other types.... I try to fit in with society and be trying to crack jokes and shit.. Then when the feels come and I run out of social battery I just want to be alone.. I think others might see this as bipolar.. But it's actually we trying to fit in..
Is it possible to be an ESFP and to not believe in any ghosts or spiritual things? I thought Se dom would be the reason why I'm like "If you can't prove it exists, it doesn't. If I can't see it, it's not real". Now hearing Se doms are more prone to believe in such bullshit, leaves me here doubting. (I mean...I may believe in determinism but it isn't the same, is it?)
This is quite impressive considering I'm sure you've never read any of Jung's associates books. They reiterate the same thing about ESPs. I'm an ESTP & tend to analyze that some of that stuff is hogwash.. nonetheless entertaining.
High Se, and low Ni = sensing physical patterns where they don’t exist? That sounds like the implication. I’ve never experienced anything remotely paranormal despite wanting to :( I think my Sensing is so low that even if they were there I wouldn’t pick anything up unless they were in your face helter skelter screaming.
I love how it's coincidentally the ESxPs who are most fascinated by ESP (extrasensory perception)!
Great video, Dave, thanks for sharing this.

I really liked "stories that are bizarre, unusual, odd, astonishing, incredible, but true"
You guys are on the right track. Jung's associates actually talked about this in lectures.
"My dog is haunted".
Better get that looked at xD
"Maybe the ghosts really do pick on you 'cause you're special." lmao xd
I'm an ESTP and I'd been dealing with panic attacks since ever, but actually the one who are worst are the "what if I don't know what to do in one month, after I graduated" or "what if can't stand the cardio training in this new gym", then one thing leads to another, and you call someone or suffer alone.

Yeah, that sounds like pretty much every ESTP I know. =) Thanks for the answer!
No worries (:

Love it!!! Excellent pattern interpretation here regarding what that Ni demon is actually all about!
Fascinating, thanks for posting this and i’d like to say- you have a great way of presenting your interesting hypotheses without jumping to hasty conclusions. Keep sharing these insights please!
When ESxPs see ghosts I guess it’s like OMG WAT but when ENxPs see ghosts it’s like “ok another one how r u today mr ghost”
Like ParaNorman? th-cam.com/video/QbMcPeuQsfE/w-d-xo.html lol
Brandon Beck lol meanwhile I can imagine the INxPs going, "Hey, if you could haunt me another time, that would be great, I'm currently trying to find the key/meaning to life and you're not helping so..."
lol
Lastrevio you here?
Eunhye - only saying this because I’m an ENFP who talks to his dead great grandparents, assuming it’s not all that rare
I definitely lived in a haunted house and experienced ghost before I even knew what had gone downbefore I moved in. Maybe we know to trust the sensory.
ESFPs should get into prayer. Can really stop the freak outs.
I notice that many tv "clairvoyants" come across as ESxP.
oooh this explains my love and hate relationship with my demon Ni!!!!! Btw, great vid!!!
The ghost picks on you because you are special 😂😂😂
Ok, wrong! I´m special, and ghosts never pick on me.
very interesting, ive noticed such pattern too
Yeah I can be like this sometimes. Omg,
My mom is an estp and every time we move to a new house she thinks it's haunted.
Demon is very fitting of a term.if this is true.
*Cough* ENTJ vs INTJ *Cough*
Ronald Liefer he touches on it in other vids, but I second this motion as it's me and my wife lol
My estp sister struggles significantly with anxiety and believes that there is a ghost haunting her and her house, so this video is creepily accurate as to her struggles in life. I thought she was crazy turns out she's just your average esxp.

Really interesting stuff and I can see it too

I'm feeling like superman with this much of info. Just keep in mind with great powers come great insanity
Kind of reminds me of what happened to EJARENDEE a while back.
People say all the time how it was socionics related but if you watch his "christian testimony" video he´s describing an incredibly isolated and abusive childhood. Put stressors like homelessness and debt on top of that and a breakdown is bound to happen.
Dude wtf.... I’ve never been more excited to be a psychology major. Is there a way to get access to the studies ?
I think my ESFP partner is Borderline, it would be great if you could talk more about the link between personality disorders and MBTI.
This is so funny. My sister typed as an ENTP but I knew even before watching this that she is a S and not a N so ESTP and she often talks about ghost activity in her house and also in one of her previous houses there were ghosts. It's like these stuff follow her around.

This is fascinating. I would have expected the very opposite of this. I would have thought that the isfps or infps would have had the greatest level of anxiety.
So ESxP’s may have ESP...?
It would be super valuable if you made that data public. Without names and faces of course. Just the data relating a particular type to a particular psychological disorder.
So what about anxiety in other types? I'm an INFJ who suffers from terrible anxiety. What would you say causes anxiety in other types?
This video is beautiful.
I’m an ENTP with ADD, my mom is an ENTP and doesn’t have ADD. Wondering how common it is.
Is this why I have actual strategies for handling "ghosts," that I often offer my extrovert friends? -infj
wow this looks to be true! i have friend who is esfp, and she told numerous ghost stories . now it makes sense.
I'm Ni dom, my father and brother are also Ni dom, we all believe in ghosts, because one of the rental houses we used to own was very haunted in Tacoma, WA. Weeelllp... I once had a conversation with a dead guy.
Dam Dave. This is deeeeeeep. Fucking amazing data though, mind blowing every week love it.
BTW what were the sources to your knowledge, what books do you recommend reading?
Were the people you typed all youtubers? How do you know these youtubers are EPs?
Damn, this is really some good (new) Jungian analytical psychology shit. I'm impressed and intrigued by this finding.
ALSO, INFP seems to be synonymous with depression, and many INFPs that I know have Bipolar disorder.
Do isfp vs istp
Holy crap you talk fast dave
Or maybe ESxP have more keen sense of sensory that they can actually hear the nuances 🙊
(I mean...I may believe in determinism but it isn't the same, is it?)
check out how many ENxP's have ADD haha, not that that's a big surprise...
Wow that’s very interesting
Was just talking about this at work. Amazing coincidence. BTW I am INTP.
I'm ESTP and yes, I have a lot of experience with anxiety!
and..... I've had paranormal activity experience.....
I love his humour 🤣
OMG it is my father
This is quite impressive considering I'm sure you've never read any of Jung's associates books. They reiterate the same thing about ESPs. I'm an ESTP & tend to analyze that some of that stuff is hogwash.. nonetheless entertaining.
Interesting. I think I am an ESFP, but not haunted
I believe in paranormal things but it does not freak me out. I'm a double observer so I'm like ok wierd shit happens neh
🤯👍
Maybe you should take a crack at covering personality disorders in your videos.
I think because ENTJs are the best then they deserve more videos. Sincerely, ENTJ.
LOL
