  • Let me know what questions you have about starting SSRIs or antidepressants. As I said, I'm not a therapist or a psychiatrist and I do not intend to give you medical advice, but I do hope I can help you feel less anxious about asking your doctor about medication!

Prozac saved my life in 2018. Stayed on for 5 years. My ocd and depression practically went away. Decided to come off last summer (tapered off) and my symptoms all came back less than a year. Just started back on Prozac three weeks ago. I learned my lesson! Prozac is my baby!! Lol. I’ve accepted I may need it forever. And I’m good with that!! My doctor said some people can come off meds and their symptoms don’t return, but with all my returning and pretty fast, it was time to get back on asap.

    Hello G,
I have recently started Prozac as well. I too started with a low dosage and am slowly building up. I am now up to 50ml. I too am experiencing really emotional periods. I am doing better on Prozac. I gotta figure out my sleep though. Anyways, just wanted to say that it's good to see another person out there on the Prozac journey. I dont feel so alone. Keep being yourself and making these videos. I love the graphic liner looks!!

i was nervous about seeking help and i did ask all my friends who take meds - i was surprised everyone is so open to sharing their experience but it was really comforting and helpful

Omg that makes me so happy! I was also surprised by how open and willing to share their experiences people were, but now that I'm on meds, I feel the same way!🥰

Pro tip: make someone else read the pamphlet and tell them if anything feels funky. Your mind can create side effects out of thin air if you know they might happen

This is a genius level tip!! I definitely wish I had done this! I create a lot of symptoms in my mind when I'm anxious!😬

I am also an impending doom thinker.
I have been on medication for 14 years now. I've takin several different ones and some have been great some have not been. Sometimes they work for awhile and then they stop working. I've gone up and down on dosage and added additional medication when I've hit the highest dose and needed more. My medication journey hasn't always been fun but I do know that without medication I wouldn't still be here today.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with me! It's comforting to hear that changing doses is normal. I'm so glad that medication allowed you to also live a happier life!🥹❤️
