This place is the bomb. Went there 40 yrs ago when my son was 4 months old for a convention!! Every year when we go out to Vegas Battista’s is our go-to-place. The accordion player is the original player. Very good food!!!
We ate there about a week ago. Wonderful food, and when we went to settle the check, found out that the Bachelorette table next to us had paid our bill. Excellent!!
Batistas was my go to for Italian for every trip for the past 20+ years. Its great especially if you are staying on or by the strip. Their portions have gotten smaller.. There used to be an older guy that would come to your table and play the accordion and sing but I think since covid he hasn't been in,. My cousin who is local took us to a different locals place that is a bit off of the strip. but is now our go to.
Looks so good and the prices are very reasonable. Super cozy and all the pictures are fun to see. And the actor you didn’t name was Tony Curtis. Thanks for the great and thorough review..
I’m currently in Vegas right now and I decided to eat at Battistas because of this video and I was not disappointed. It was wonderful. I was by myself and drank the entire carafe of wine by myself. 😬 not the smartest thing I’ve ever done! Thank you for all your videos, they’re great too.
Great video. I don't order meatballs, I order the meat'a'balls. Love everything you guys said about Battista's old school charm. it is my favorite. At the hotel room, I don't bother unpacking, I head straight to Battista's.
Battista's Hole in the Wall is definitely old school Vegas. Can't wait to try it. Noticed it back in 1990 on my first trip but never tried it. Can't wait to visit not just for the food but for the history. Thank you Tanya and Dave.
In 2005 the owners sold the restaurant to Harrah’s (now Caesar’s). It is great that they allow the restaurant to operate unchanged, at least for now. Let’s all enjoy this classic while we can!
Such a great place…. My dad brought mere there for first time 20 years ago when I was “21”. We had a great time and stumbled out of there high on life (and the red wine). I’ve been back many times over the years and can’t wait to go back again!!! Thank you for doing a piece on the place!
I've been to Battista's a few times over the years and it just made me happy with the retro vibe. Of course, those were the days when Gordy roamed around playing the accordion, which was awesome. Is the food the best I've ever had? No, but it was tasty enough and satisfying. Is the wine great? Mmm, no, but it's drinkable. Mostly it was just the fun of the place and imagining the Rat Pack in the next booth. I have heard conflicting information on what happened to Gordy: one version that he was staying away due to his age & Covid, and the other that he retired. Maybe someone on here knows.

OMG!! Battistas!!! The food isn't great but the place is absolutely entertaining. From the servers to the old guy with the accordion, who plays for 5 seconds then sticks his hand out for tips (always makes me laugh) to the old vibe, to the menu on the wall :) It's all amazing. PS - the wine is GROSS but everyone drinks as much as possible! lol

My wife and I loved this place. We went on our first night had such a great time we decided to go every single night of our vacation (5 nights in total) Your $ goes along way great value entertaining live music, free wine 🍷 , salad, pasta side , garlic bread and cappuccino at the end. We saved a lot of money coming to this restaurant anywhere else on the strip and we got all that it would be 4 times the price without the old school charm ❤
I went to Battista’s when I was in town for a trade show recently. It was a phenomenal meal! It sounds like your chicken was dry just like mine was, but everything else was so good I didn’t mind. Definitely worth a visit on your next trip to Vegas! (Just skip the chicken!)

Went to Battista's for a romantic dinner in the early 90's when staying at Bally's. I remember an accordion player gave me my first ever (and only) serenade. It was Lara's Theme from Dr Zhivago and he told me that was my song from then on. To this day I consider that "my song" , lol. Nice memories.

Your gonna love Vegas! I have never stayed at Bally’s but the location is good 👍 directly connects to Paris, over the bridge to Bellagio . Have a blast!
I crave Battista’s sometimes. Very simple but Good value. And Gordy the accordion player always got me for a good tip. (Sometimes just so he would stop, haha) If you are open to old Vegas vibes it is tons of fun. A must see at least once.

They used to have a roving accordionist. Good fun and better vibes. Unfortunately, those places are dying everywhere. Mangia Vegas!

The pool at Ballys is closed in November --- Paris pool next door is open to Ballys guest.
