When I was a kid, we had an ‘88 Tundra LT and I had more fun with that machine than anything. It would go anywhere, pull anything, and was easy on gas!
My buddies and I all have Tundra II's. My 94 run's phenomenally, light and low power makes it a great trapping sled for Alaska. More Tundra II videos please!
My dad had a 1999 Tundra R and it was a great sled, now he has a 2011 Tundra with the 550f and also another great sled and my uncle just purchased a 2021 tundra 600 efi and it is fantastic
Looking forward to seeing the work on the tundra. Elans got to expensive this year, so I picked up a 88 safari 377, you have inspired me to go all out on it. I’m putting in a tundra front suspension with the pogos, to match the sc10 I already put in the rear with the longer track. It will turn out to be a tundras bigger brother. Good luck on the build.
I have a love/hate relationship with these, the are ideal light duty machines but have a couple of design flaws. You should pull that 277 and throw in a newer 380 twin.
I can see why the Enclosed trailer,& & simply staying off the Asphalt is the much better option in Salt madd Ontario the Rust on the 277 elan is Crazy even got under hood amazing it's still holding together until the next right or wrong bump or tree stump finds the elan then she'll simply obliterate herself. Year round I'll bet the salt residue is still on the roads and other places , Could simply Go back to Gravel for grip and illuminate vehicle killing salt altogether.
@@PowerModzOfficial the tundras and old scandics and nordics are all awful for running off their track. Some of the tundras in their last few years had a different track design and didnt run off after
I have always wanted a Tundra and one day I'll have one. Really looking forward to watching you putting PowerModz touches to this Tundra. Thanks Lou!
Tundra is great. I got a 2010 550F with revXC chassi and i called it my new Elan. The tundras is a spinnof of elan you can say 😄😄

Exactly - it was the new elan.

Awesome so much fun on these old machines
I have '97. I can't wait to see what you have in mind.
My old man has only owned tundras. A 91', 99', 09', and a 2012. He still has and rides both the 09' and the 12'

Hey Louie see royal distributing for the pipe or skidoo
That there's one of 'em LAH-DI-DAH Tundras, with the pogo sticks instead of ol' reliable leaf springs... Fer SHAME! =D
Thought the tundra was a 289cc? Had a 94, loved it. 👍✌️
Yes probably is, it's a type 277 engine.
Ah, ok that makes sense. 👍
Did you delete oil injection or came like that? How difficult was it to delete? Any tips?
I have videos on that! Check them out.
"The seat is mint."

Hey Max!
Hi
let us know if you find a way to stop from running the track off
not sure what you mean by that
@@PowerModzOfficial the tundras and old scandics and nordics are all awful for running off their track. Some of the tundras in their last few years had a different track design and didnt run off after
@@cordelllush8133 interesting, ive owned many tundras and never had that happen - maybe the track is run too loose?
@@PowerModzOfficial its not just me, almost anyone around here, ask them about the old tundras and theyll tell you how easy the track could come off
I have owned many older Tundra machines. Regarding tracks I find you need to keep track tension adjusted on the tight side of things every season.
