I've done lilac before and YES your hair needs to be SO LIGHTTTTT for it to be completely purple. Not only that, I would really recommend pre-toning it if there's too much yellow... or else your hair is going to be uneven for sure

I went from hot pink (it was one of the biggest mistakes of my life), to blue blue. I have NO regrets now. 😆 I love the blue. Took a couple passes to get it ALL blue, but for a while I had this whole galaxy thing going on with the pink and blue, and areas that turned purple. Lol and it STILL looked better than the pink. Some people can pull off hot pink. My skin tone, nope. Hot pink does not look good. Pastel colors(which is what I wanted, pastel pink, and the dye did me dirty) go really well with my skin tone. 😅

Don't buy pastel temporary dyes, it's a waste of money. You can mix normal vivid dye with cheap conditioner and you get waaay more for the money. Also it makes your hair really soft.

Honestly, I kinda needed this video right now. I have some parts of my hair that are as yellow as the first girl's (but my problem was not enough bleach, I miscalculated it) and I did not know the best way to approach it. I was thinking of doing a bleach wash, so I'm glad Brad said that that's not the best way, saved me a ton of time and effort

I change my hair randomly and radically, I've done colors, I shaved my whole head summer 2019 🥰 now I have an undercut with my shoulder length hair. Experiment, it'll grow back! I take vitamins daily and also take great care of my hair with products that have no sulfates pthalates etc. so if you do it commit! Best of luck!!
