The fact that GB's Mario form is drawn like real Nintendo art from the sm64 era while his true form is drawn in that hyper realistic art style is a nice attention to detail, and makes GB's true form look 10x more terrifying

V1 golden land was already my fav song in the mod, V2 made it WAY HEAVIER sounding, and I absolutely love it. the only song I would compare it to is Starman slaughter. ITS THAT GOOD.

@@ChaosKid420 music is definitely subjective, i never saw the hype aside from the stamina challenge. the beat definitely has substance and character, but i dont know what it is about it, it just falls flat to me. this mod has actually taught me a lot about my taste surprisingly, i prefer more heavy emotion-invoking and moody songs

I like this version much better but I think what people dont like about it is that It doesn't feel as intense as before. Maybe it could have been a bit longer and had a more intensified second-half? Or maybe the True Form part is just too quiet. Not entirely sure.
The guitar isn’t as intense but the sound is better. The first song is full intensity. V2 has a build up that doesn’t stay intense but it’s still very good. I like v2 more.
The second part doesnt feel as much intense as the v1 thats the problem
Then they should just make an second song for GB

i really like this version of golden land, you can tell how much the instrumentation and vocals were imrpoved but i still feel something is missing. maybe another section? less orchestral-rock and a more 8-bit-rock base could've fit in better, but i dont know. for some reason golden land never hit as hard for me, and i hoped this version would've fixed that feeling but i still feel golden land NEEDS something.

If you guys don’t know about Game boy Mario’s backstory here it is (I just copied and paste from the creepy pasta wiki).
It was a rainy day and I had just woken up, I gazed around my room filled with electronics from SNEs to Switch. I got out of bed and did the usual; Brush my teeth, put some clothes on, and eat breakfast. Some days I take days off the electronics and draw random characters. Whilst drawing Mario, I had remembered that I had a Gameboy advanced SP in my small device box.
I did not remember about it because I was glued to an iPad or a personal computer. I grabbed my bag with the discs from my 3DS and Gameboy Color and Advanced, I thought on playing Tetris but it gets repetitive, I thought on Pac-Man but still, repetitive. And I knew about the other Creepypasta things about Lavender Town so I didn't get Red, Blue or Yellow. I chose Super Mario Land since it was my favorite game of the bunch. So I inserted the disc and turned it on. All I saw was white screen, I rebooted and hope it wouldn't be a blank white screen.
This time it worked but it wouldn't let me start and played the cut-scene. The cut-scene was glitched out with ground pieces in the air and Goombas glitched with the pipes. I rebooted it again. It worked but the title screen had different platforms around it and... Mario's face was gone, replaced by a black void and the start was replaced by something along the lines of "Go back" and the Mario in the title was covered in black and some bushes just sent goosebumps down my spine. I closed the Gameboy Advanced and from that day, I never touched it again.

you know, for some reason i prefer the V1 version.
dont get me wrong, V2 is an absolute upgrade from the previous one, the instrumental sounds better & the sprites... but i dont like how GB's vocals are soo quiet (especially in the part when he reveals himself)... i can barelly hear him in this.

I didn't expect this version to be more or less a lowkey remake of Golden Land. I suppose all that hype from C0mixZ0ne's remixes was a bit too much when they gave us a four-minute-long epic. It was a bit disappointing that it's so short in comparison, but it's still a banger.
This is probably my favourite song in the whole mod after unbeatable, it just goes so hard.
