    Tention the motor by heavy spring, carhood-lifter or threaded rod as usual by machines. The weight of the motor only is to not enough.

      hey and thanks for your response. under tension with a threaded rod. I've tried. the nuts rattle loose. and indeed I have seen it on other machines as a lathe. But they pull and I pushed against the leg.

      @@DoMetalStuff It helps, befor the nut rattle loose?
      You can secure the nut with spring washer / take two nuts and tention them against or choose a sef-secure-nut (the nut with a plastic ring).

      @@christiankurtz3231 that rattling loose isn't really the problem. it's more like having to adjust. because the pulley has 3 v belt positions low middle and high speed. it would be nice if that was easy to do

      @@DoMetalStuff Ah, i see. Ok, then i see 3 options:
      oldstyle Spring-solution, "car-hood-lifter" or a modify clamping nut for your situation (like on a lathe to ingage the spindle). All options should give you a quick change option.

      @@christiankurtz3231 then i think the lathe option would be good. but now my brain has to figure out how. without removing a leg from the table

    Is there a reason why you use an seconday shaft instead of the motor directly to the clutch?

    • @DoMetalStuff
      @DoMetalStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      that's how I picked up the shaper. and with this transfer step. I have the rotation per minute. so I thought that's how it should be. do you have another idea?

    • @DoMetalStuff

      if I connect the motor directly to the clutch. I probably need a lower rpm motor. (I dont have one) what i once learned somewhere is that with a flywheel the transmission is stronger and smoother
