Hi, I want to replace the original Am/FM antenna of my car into shark fin, does the reception still works better ? my car is a Ford Ecosport Trend 2017, color is candy red. Hope you can give me some suggestions.

Hi, The radios do not come with an internal satellite radio tuner. This means that in order to listen to satellite radio, you need to either use an external satellite tuner and plug into the AUX cables in the rear of the radio, or use the bluetooth streaming feature from a smartphone using the free Sirius/XM app , or you can also download the free Sirius/XM app on this android unit. And the unit has all needed cables , please don't worry and Could you please send us the photo of your car's dashboard and tell us the model and year of your car to sales@seicane.com? Then we can help you to check if it can fit your car
Hi, Thanks for your reply. However, I think that you miss understood my question as I was asking about the shark fin antenna itself! When installing this antenna on a vehicle that already has a radio with Sirius/XM will it work! Secondly, what are the advantages with replacing the antenna mast with the shark fin?
I may have to replace my regular antenna with a shark fin due to clearance issue. With surf racks, I don't think my board will snap the antenna so a shark fin antenna will provide the clearance I will need.

I notice some shark fin covers also have a rubber weather seal around their base (plus the tape of course). Is the tape alone like this one waterproof?
