Thank you for writing in the video description the bus routes that will be eliminated, now it’s clear for me, I know all the bus routes that will be eliminated.
I remember two phases of the 78 - (1) Atwater to the De Monts loop on Allard at the Ville Emard/LaSalle border. The loop has since been built on. (2) It was then extended to LaSalle, near the Mercier Bridge - mostly following part of today's 106 route. A long ride from Atwater.
Its interesting to see many familiar places along this route. As I mentioned I was using the #78 many years ago when I was a teenager. 🙂 Before Angrignon Metro was opened the end of the #78 bus route was at Desmont street and Allard, there was a loop on the south side of Allard the bus turned around on and would wait there for five minutes or so. There was also a railway crossing, a branch line for the nearby industries. Now when you approach this boundary between Ville Emard and Lasalle there are all these hi-rise condos/apartment buildings and the Carrefour Angrignon. Much has changed !!!
buses such as the 15, 58, 75, 78, 109, 116, 191, 406 are all gonna be eliminated unfortunately. sad to see most of these go, but there'll be room for newer extensions and lines such as the 38, 50, 114, 190, and 198 that are also gonna be exciting!
Still dumb that they removed the 191 The 15 I can see why considering that the Green Line runs under Maisonneuve Blvd 75 was a useless line, glad they removed it. The 78… I mean it’s not bad merging it with the 35 but still…. Though why splitting the 37 in half… but glad to have a new 38 109… man one of the few lines I fully did… I don’t think deleting it was necessarily necessary but ok 116, yeah it was kinda useless, 58… I can understand why having 2 Wellington bus could be a bother but I would have rebranded it as “58 LaSalle” instead of Running on Wellington, it could have run all the way on LaSalle Blvd (along with the 107 and 37) and follow its old route but at Bishop Power it goes all the way to Jean-Brillon and finish at André-Laurendeau CEGEP
The line 35 Griffintown will run where this line use to run at Laurendeau street starting August 26, I do feel sad that this line will disappear because it was there long time ago and now in 2024, gone forever
15- 58 191, some historic lines deleted! But for better efficiancy! 491 all week Express is better for Lachine. and new lines like 198 Broadway. faster to Angrignon.. many of these bus lines followed Tram lines, which hasn't worked since Metro was built. It will be better!!! R.

My pleasure!

Thanks for the comments and stories George. I should do a walking video throughout this whole area someday.

Great Ride Patrick
Thank you mate
Ive never seen that bus model before
From 2009.
The 58 is what will hurt me and the 191 too
Yeah some nice routes too and convenient. The 107 will apparently go from downtown all the way deep into the LaSalle sector.
@@SkyOfTheUniverse the only line I find it dumb to abolish is the 191
I agree
