You can tell that Beavis and Butthead were the hottest show of the 90s EVERYONE was talking about it lol
Of course it was as the hottest. Fire.. FIRE!
Sadly Kids like me today have not heard much about. They need to know about it like they know King Of The Hill and Futurama.
They were the Rick and Morty of their time to be sure.
THE WHO?!
I would have loved to be in the room in Mexico with Robert DeNiro and Marlon Brando when they were doing Beavis and Butthead impressions. Brando was doing Beavis. Talk about great moments in history...
0:33 that clip from Arthur definitely gets a bonus of 100 points!
I agree! The pure fact that a kid's show like Arthur references Beavis and Butthead was still mindblowing. They even referenced South Park lol
“HeY LoOk It’S ThE BiG TeLeTuBbY”

agreed.
ARTHUR referenced Beavis and Butt-head? Is nothing sacred??...huh huhuh huh huh
Ugh, I don’t believe how many “Jokes” are just calling two people “Beavis and Butthead” or “Beavis and Butthead is a show”
Shows how stale western mainstream media is
Its awkward when they say it
hahaha haha hey you remember Bibers and Bunket? hahaha so joke, much funni hahahaha 😂😂😂
@@pwrsocket yeah.. whats the point of referencing another show if you cant do them justice? I thought the whole purpose was to show appreciation of other varieties of content but these guys only end up ruining humor that they dont even get. Its just cringe
Okay but you have to admit a lot of effort went into getting the step by step ones accurate
I love how Arthur parodies adult shows
🎶 C u m 🎶
dark
It is how i loved adult animation
I got in trouble for knowing their south Park reference
Still cracks me up they did a parody of the Sopranos
At 9:07 the chicken and the blue squirrel is a reference to Ren & Stimpy, another popular 90’s cartoon. Two references in one!
really a testament to how smart sitcom writers are when they all consistently miss the satire of the show and write it off as "dumb and corrupting the youth"
Within a year of the show’s inception in 1993, B&B must’ve appeared in or were referenced in well over a dozen TV shows and movies, and were still being talked about well into the 2010s. That’s the power of Mike Judge’s genius and the influence of Beavis and Butthead.
It’s crazy how those 2 teens truly influenced the 90s and the pop culture in general
Beavis & Butthead is actually a fairly intelligent critique of the stupidity of their own audience, and general audiences.
It's not so much that they themselves are funny, but what they represent, and the way they represent it, is funny.
Mike Judge is great at this. It works the same way in King of The Hill and The Goode Family. Critiques of different American sub-cultures and audiences. Just subtle enough that it can easily be mistaken as genuine.
Daria breaks from this a bit, since the show was merely based on a Mike Judge character, and didn't have his direct involvement. Thus, it embraces Daria's views more than making fun of them.
Heh heh heh… Daria, more like diarrhea heh heh heh
Too much
@@showoofity50 yeah, Daria is too much of a celebration of that specific sub-culture than a critique of it.
come to butthead
What
Amazing that there were references in kids shows even though Beavis and Butthead was clearly for mature audiences.
Their show was rated TV 14 though kids under that could watch it.
im especially surprised by arthur
@@Music-tk5oq i must have been 8 years old when beavis and butthead first aired on mtv and i definitely watched it. it came on around 10pm if i recall, maybe a little later. i guess technically we should have been in bed but i always stayed up to watch aeon flux, beavis and butthead, liquid television, and there were some other cool late night mtv shows i cant recall off the top of my head
@@Acolis Frog Baseball was an episode on Liquid Television as u know which made B&B eventually evolve into their own show.
Yeah, "mature". I still remember sneaking into my parents' room to watch it while they were downstairs. When I was 10.
Believe it or not, B&BH inspired Matt & Trey to create South Park. Thats awesome.
M'kay
Mmmmmm’kayyyy
really? that’s awesome! those are my two favorite shows
It's crazy how judges work is never put down or made fun of in other shows (FG, South park) the cameos are always done with affection.
If I had a nickel for every time Beavis and Butthead were referenced in Arthur, I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
if I had a nickel for every time I've heard/seen this reference I'd be a millionaire

Long Live Beavis and Butthead.
They'e back now with a new movie, buddy!
All hail the Great Cornholio!
It's obvious that one of my favorite cartoons of all time would get super amounts of references in other media, we're there dude!
Damn those two dominated the 90s
The Beavis and Butthead reference on Friends was actually how I first discovered them!
Such a life changer 😌🤣
Is it ironic that ALL of the TV shows referencing Beavis and Butthead seemed a lot stupider to me that they ever did? This amazed me how much TV I don't watch, and haven't watched for decades. Yet, I'm still watch Beavis and Butthead clips on TH-cam and enjoying them.
9:35 How could you ask that, Bart? Beavis & Butt-Head were on MTV during your heyday in the '90's! Your school even let the kids name it the "Butt-Head Memorial Auditorium".
0:38 - Arthur had a freaking Beavis and Butthead reference in it?! WTF did I miss in that show?!
3:51 - What the actual fuck?!
The episode the first clip is from also haf a segment where they parodied South Park
It's cool how such a simple laugh could be so iconic. Huhhuh. Huhhuhuhhuh.

0:33 should’ve known that as a kid. But, I do remember watching last season from beavis and butthead on MTV, since I was 14 years old. Also, I watched the movie on 📀.
I like how Steve-O’s music was so bad Mike Judge brought Beavis and Butthead out of retirement to make fun of him. And jackass 3D was my personal favorite appearance of them
I'm totally unsurprised as to how much these two have impacted the culture. Salute.
4:14 The 1990's version of The Littlest Pet Shop was actually some pretty good shit! I actually would catch my Dad watching it! 😂😂😂😂😂
