My mom a Hunter College grad was one of the fist women chemist to work for Bulova in materials testing. Her name was Jane Gutkowski. I still have her tank and my 1968 Accutron.
I love Bulova Accu Swiss watches, I hope Bulova bring those back and make more watches with 9k series Miyota movement or at least have hacking feature.
A friend of mine received a hand-me-down Mido when he was 13. At some point, he lost the Mido in a lake and recovered it 5 years later, still functioning. After college, he bought an Accutron and moved to California. He was taking his shot and he had big plans. He got there, walked into the ocean, and his new Bulova leaked. He started feeling like the leaking watch was a sign. He began feeling out of place, like maybe he didn’t belong there. He got in his car and headed back to the Midwest. He stopped at the AD to do a warranty claim. The AD said the crystal was cracked and refused to make the repair. After that, and a few other bad experiences with luxury goods, he decided he was a simple guy that should stay in his lane. Now, he’s an old man, and one of the most interesting people I know.
Great stuff 👍. A word about the luna pilot. It's too big. The size of it stopped me from buying it, which is a shame because I love the dial and I loved the polished case version, but I'm not willing to put up with the case size. Tell Bulova to make a smaller size when you meet up next. Or give me his number.

Interesting topic, l like the brand
You mathematicians out there know that replacing the 12 with a zero on the dial of the railroad watch turns it into a cyclic group.
