What other alcohol could be used to make it closer to the traditional french recipe? Also is that jelly thing beef broth? And what's that piece of bone put in the oven? Also do you have to set the pan on fire? Thank you for the help
alcohol unsure. jelly is broth, the bone was bone marrow, to set on fire is flambe, if you don't do it wont have the same flavour to my understanding, although its not necessary to cook out the alcohol.
The name of the alcohol is hibiki suntory whiskey 17 year old, I'm assuming that you can use any whiskey but not so sure, gonna investigate real quick UPDATE: use any whiskey that has fruity tones, it won't be the same as the recipe, but the damn bottle is worth 1k USD, so yeah...
